The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

I can understand that, but we also need to understand it was meant for a Japanese audience, hence her broken english (to us sounds of place) yet to them, it sounds very convincing. Also it would sound a bit out of place for her to throw out perfect english phrases.

Broken English doesn't sound good to a Japanese person just like the broken Russian didn't sound good to me, but even if it does sound good to a Japanese person that doesn't make me like it any more.

I know the creators of the anime wanted it to be more convincing hence putting in the English and Russian but I think it creates the opposite affect.

I like that they added it. It's a bit of an attempt at authenticity. The alternative is flying out voice actors.

agree to disagree though. Has anyone seen Evangelion 333 yet? thoughts?

I don't know why they shortened the Anime, I was enjoying Blood Lad, it wasn't bad. Was the show performing poorly compared to other anime's or something?

I don't know what its performance was like, but it was always planned for 10 episodes. I expect the last episode (or two, or three) will be released on BD/DVD only. They did exactly the same thing with Girls Und Panzer, with the final episode of the season stopping bang in the middle of the final battle. And the the final two eps came out 2 months later.

Since the anime doesn't have any censored fan-service to sell, I guess they're going to try and sell the conclusion.

Broken English or English of any sort in Japan is considered cool to some people, english can take and has taken forms in some parts of their sub cultures.

Honestly would have ruined the whole experience for me if Revy spoke perfect English. Plus is a Japanese production and Megumi Toyoguchi did a good job at her English.

I feel the same, specially when they have DVD/BD releases only on certain shows.

Oh I see, I really hate it when I am really enjoying an anime and they cut it short...Blood Lad....Accel World....Beelzbub....not sure if Soul Eater went down the same road. Fairy Tail also got cut but I heard it is going to return, not sure when.

Has anyone watch K-Project? How was it? I just downloaded all of it now.

Either it's cut short to promote the manga (which is way more popular sometimes) or they run out of funding, a contract is drawn with a specific TV station to air x amount of episodes. I really don't know sometimes.

Did Accel World get cut? Maybe I just missed that because I got the BD release anyways.

Hey guys.. Due to my hard drive being a little girl a few years back i lost all the anime i had. I was thinking of starting up my collection again (sigh) and thought it might be a good idea to start with some Bleach.

Do you guys perhaps know of any RSS feeds i can get my hands on?

Busy downloading today's Shingeki no Kyojin and One Piece. Been reading the manga for shingeki no kyojin, so I am really excited for what's to come. I hope there will be more action with One Piece today...

just finished watching the SNK and not a bad episode... Its a definite build up to next episode going to sweet.

Ya I really loved todays episode of SnK...SPOILER: didn't suprise me though, I had my suspicions. One Piece was okay, next week looks like its going down!

I assume it was cut, there was 57 or 58 episodes (not too sure), the anime didn't reach conclusion :( they releasing OVA's of the anime now days...

No, as far as I know there are only the 24 episodes and 2 OVAs that were released later. There wouldn't be a proper conclusion though, given that the light novel series is still ongoing (14 volumes and counting). Not that I have any idea how the author's managing that, since Sword Art Online is still going strong as well - volume 13 just came out in June or July.

Oh whoops, must have confused the episode count with Beelzebub. Hmm, I think I'm going to grab the novel series sometime and read how it went after episode 24.

well I'm late o_O

I know I'm four years late. Anyhoo I have an eclectic taste in anime so here it goes.

Naruto
Fairy Tail
D-grayman
One piece
Btoom
Death Note
K
Kenichi
Wolfs Rain
Shingeki no Kyojin
Magi
Higschool of the dead
Another
Rah-Xephon
Zeutsen no tempest
SAO
Fma-brotherhood

That's all I can think of at the moment. What I must add is that some of these series ended before the manga did. Such as kenichi, D-grayman and Btooom. These series ended with many unanswered question, which forced me to read the manga. It appears that Shingeki no kyojin will be ending before the paramount informtion will be unveiled. Ergo in most cases its best to read the manga from where the series left off.
