I think TV's have longer response times,i'm not sure about refresh rates.
Something you have to look at is what size is the room your pc is in and what size TV are you going for, TV response is slower than pc screen.
I have an all in one screen it's a 23" tv/lcd combo Full HD 1080p res 1920 x 1080 with everything you need 5ms response and built in sound paid like 1299 for it, and it works amazingly well
Good question Insanity. Maybe something to do with monitor's having VGA and TV's don't? But then you can use HDMI I suppose but is it as good?
I view monitors as being more clear and crisp than a tv because they are made for close up viewing, but that's probably unfounded.
What is the name, model of this tv??Something you have to look at is what size is the room your pc is in and what size TV are you going for, TV response is slower than pc screen.

i'm using a Samsung 32" TV.
I've connected my pc and PS3 to it using HDMI -- i must say i don't think i would be able to go back to a normal monitor easily![]()
Can you do normal stuff like browse internet and it's clear?
ghosting ?I used a 32" Sammie for a few months when my old monitor died. It wasn't a terrible experience.
Only real criticism was the ghosting--not a big issue in most games but sometimes it can really screw with your eyes.
ghosting ?
I think this got mostly to do with the distance you sitting away from the screen... Bigger screen, more distance...I find it very hard to focus on the screen and after a few minutes my eyes become very sore...
I would not recommend it, maybe if you were some gunnar...
