Well Steam boxes are really pc's its just a different OS.

I see Steam Machines primarily as streaming boxes - so in addition to your gaming rig - and therefore there shouldn't be a need to port to Linux.

They're making progress. I was actually quite surprised to see Metro Last Light available on Linux.

There"s a difference between GDDR 5 and DDR 5 the next DDR is 4. GDDR 5 is based on DDR 3

Not like he has a choice after what he said about windows 8, by not doing so... He would be a pretty big hypocrite. However after that is said and done this is the approach.

I think because the PS4 is mostly a APU, Sony found a way to get GDDR5 to work as RAM and as VRAM with their own unique memory controller. I would really like to know how they managed to get it done. The PS4 manages a impressive 176 GB/s on the memory bandwidth front.
