Finally set up Netflix

Good ol Netflix and Hulu.

Good to see the rest of you are finally getting it ;)

There used to be issues in the past with Hulu though. They were extremely strict about outside viewers using their service and used to call you to verify your details and if you're using a Bank of America.

Just a minor note in case its not immediately apparent - this will still fall foul of copyright laws unfortunately.

Heard reports that SAIX cap doesn't gel with the DNS tricky. Some transparent proxy issue.

True, its still not exactly legal in SA. However, what makes me feel slightly better is that at least the shows I'm watching via netflix are getting some cash out of it. On a moral standpoint seems better than straight-up torrenting.

What ISP's use SAIX? I haven't had a problem using Web Africa, Afrihost, Mweb, Openweb or Plugg for example.
 
Well, it's been running smoothly until... Tonight. Seems like anything routed through Unotelly comes to a freeze. It takes minutes just to load up the Netflix home page. As a last resort, I tried The Hola plugin for Chrome. Lo and behold, it worked! It was MUCH faster than Unotelly and buffered much faster than I was able to watch. It's a great (free) solution if your're only accessing it via Windows, Linux or Android.

Have you updated your ip? That's the only times I've had an issue with unotelly.

I'll read up on Chromecast. Can't test anything right now, seeing as we've been "load shed". Laptop JUST died.

EDIT: Meh, won't help me much. I already have my laptop plugged into my AV receiver via HDMI. Got a wireless mouse and keyboard on coffee table, so I've got the best of all worlds right now...

Got a chromecast really not bad.but yeah if you got a dedicated device for onscreen play.no reason to get chromecast.

Tried this one first and for some reason i could not get it to stream through my xbox with this one no matter what i tried it worked fine on pc

Ah cool, I tried SmartDNSProxy and it worked fine for the PS3, but it didn't work for the xbox, unfortunately I was in a hurry because I was leaving for holiday the next morning and my sister in law was house-sitting and very excited for Netflix, so I sommer paid for a month of UnoTelly. I'll give the Unlocator a go next month.
