The Elder Scrolls Online Beta

As cool as all that sounds, it does sound like something that will get nailed with the nerfbat, i.e. an exploit. Almost any ability that allows a class to stun/disable a mob/boss or a group of mobs to such an extend that they can solo "destroy" content meant for groups, well that is nerf material right there. So i don't normally rely on what the min/max hardcore people pull off with their classes though.

Conversely Elder Scrolls Games have always been unbalanced and easy even on higher difficulties. It may be a side effect of tailoring to two separate players: MMO and ES fans. However I feel that difficulty should always be increased if content is to easy, I prefer a challenge in a game. That being said his Nightblade with bow and two-hander could also solo world bosses.

Just got our collector's edition. It's reaaaally preeetty!

But retails codes are blocked until release day -.-' Which makes so much sense, considering it's already early access :p

Could it be that the volume is just really, really, really low? If so, I think that had something to do with speaker configuration in Windows or something. MAYBE.

/clueless.

Otherwise try repairing? :x

Did a repair and found a 1.2gb patch missing. All sorted now luckily.

I also got FTC and I don't see any nameplates above people's heads, am I missing something?

Sorry spoke too soon, this setting threw me off, but it turns out it's only your -own- nameplate.

Unit Frames Settings

Show Player Nameplate – Toggle whether you want the friendly player unit frame to display your own name, level, and class.

Good to have my char back :p

The one thing I find pretty stupid is that you need 10 people in a guild to be able to put stuff into a guild bank. It basically stops small guilds from working, which is pretty short sighted. So come join so I can dump all the mats I pick up for you guys and gals to use. I don't like crafting but I do like gathering.

It is probably to curb possible abuse due to being able to join multiple guilds. I.e. 3 buddies make 3 guilds and join all 3 and suddenly every person got a "personal" guild bank . It is a bit more maintenance to do that scenario with 10 people.

Hey Shrike, you now also have permission to add/remove things from the guild bank :) and you guys can also help invite if you want, would be nice to get 50 members for us to have our own Auction House in the guild.

When does release start for those with 3 days? i know it's today but what time..

Wait...let me grab some coffee so that I can spit it out in shock.

Yeah its pretty big, luckily if you played the beta it just slowly added up over the weekend updates, and the final release just patched the beta client so there wasnt really a massive download.

Still less than Max Payne 3 was off steam. 29 gigs that one.

Oh yeah....that.

Yeah I didn't do that :o Got a key for the game - but man, 22 GB download... ouch.

Just some info for those interested.. I have had terrible latency issues last night, could have been my ISP, kept getting kicked or lagged out, got latency from 1000 - 3000ms looking at my resource monitor.

I then pulled the old trick and installed Pingzapper, awesome Game Proxy software.. once i launched ESO through Pingzapper it was amazing.. no latency issues and felt like i was playing next to the servers, spell responses was way faster, made the gameplay so much better on the end.

I beleave once they move the servers to EU it would even be more amazing.

If anyone is interested testing it out.. you can download Pingzapper and it comes with a "1 hour" session each time free.

If you decide on buying a monthly sub which cost $3 don't forget to refer me which will give me and yourself extra time on your account.

But don't take my word for it give it a try first.. https://pingzapper.com/ref/shirou

Guild only auction house? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

What were they thinking? Why would you sell items to guildies only? Why would you undercut guildies to sell your own stuff to guildies?

Sure, join a "trade" guild. Guess why people join trade guilds? To sell stuff, so you have a guild full of people who want to sell stuff, who wants to buy stuff? The alternative is to spam zone chat, yeay.

Seriously screwed up idea.

Another one: a guild of many factions and you cannot join in a PVE instance with anyone in another faction in your own guild.
Another one: gathering nodes vanish because someone in another phase loots it, they are essentially invisible to you. Come on!
Another one: try questing with a friend and see how tempting it is to smash your screen in frustration.
Another one: doing a quest and you see someone else run to the same quest area, you get angry, irritated because now you will have to COMPETE for quest resources or wait around for a repop, silly to have in an MMO.

I am enjoying the game, just not the "multiplayer" part of it.

More and more this is looking like a single player (great story and graphics etc) RPG with an instance thrown in here and there.

Enough to enjoy till a REAL MMO comes out.

Interestingly enough, when you finish the first dungeon then suddenly the other 2 dungeons in your level range become available and you can port to them, they are in other faction lands.

This is pretty good, would love to see if you can cross faction group for those.
