Guild Wars 2

my return to GW2 has been most agreeable thus far.

i'm loving the changes that have been made and the upcoming changes look quite nice.

will see how it affects things but for now i'm enjoying it, even managed to finally get my main to 80

That's good to hear.

What server are you playing on?

Really excited for that Feature Pack update, they are overhauling so many mechanics :D

used to be on aurora glade, but moved to piken square where I have friends that are actively playing

Well WvW Season 2 starts the 28th, and the 15th April, they will be making a lot of changes to the game.

Looking really forward to the Feature Pack! I'm excited to see the return of some familiar GW1 skills in the form of traits :)

Dunno about looking forward to the Feature Pack, it is going to screw with my builds, all 6 of them, not saying it is going to be a bad thing, just that it changes a lot of things :)

The new wardrobe and dye changes firmly cement it as "awesome" in my books ;)

I'm happy about the fact that you get all duplicate dye unlocks back as unidentified dyes :3

Between my 8 characters I've probably got close to a hundred, if not more :D

Hey guys is it still worth getting into?

What would the patch download size be by now? must be huge.

Hey guys, I havent really played GW2 much in the last 6 months. The zerg farm train that entered when Anet decided to plant Champions everywhere in the dynamic events of Scarlett (or whats her name :P) killed it for me. The game has gone for the worst at the moment, the first year was very, but it has deteriorated badly since then...

With LA being nuked, where did everyone go to??

And as for new content, what is happening next, as I notice the Scarlett story is finished (I didnt do all the last parts). I just hope there is some way Anet can downscale the massive zerg farming craze feast where you cant even see yourself doing anything. I think there is a limit to the number of players that makes it fun and then become boring. Im also not going to play ESO (currently), so want to get into GW2 maybe again with new content.

All the hub services that were located in Lion's Arch have been relocated to the Vigil Keep in Gendarran Fields - with the exception of crafting - you'll need to go to home cities or other crafting areas for that. LA is kind of an explorable area at the moment, but I'm fairly sure it'll be "rebuilt" in the near future.

But seriously - the criticisms of the LS content being made - it's the first time something like this has been done by anyone, and it was a learning curve all around. And zerg mentality is kind of native to MMOs - I've seen it in every single MMO I've played - bar none. They did pretty well with the knights in LA in the last chapter - forcing the zerg to split in order to succeed.

As for what's coming - 15th of April sees the feature pack release, and a lot of the mechanics of the game are going to be changing quite drastically - I'd suggest going to the release page and familiarising yourself with it in the meantime -> https://www.guildwars2.com/en-gb/the-game/releases/feature-packs/

No idea when season 2 of the LS is going to start - speculation puts it anywhere between May and July. It'll most likely involve a new dragon that Scarlet woke up with her massive drill. And right now, nobody knows for certain where this dragon is ... Verdant Forest (north) or Magus Falls/Maguuma Jungle.

Thanks shadow, glad to see some people still playing GW2 :)

Lol, Gendarran Fields Vigil Keep, didnt expect that, although it does make sense now...

Regarding the zerg, Arenanet just has to come up with something to tone it down. I loved when it were large groups, but its now
so massive with LS content: lag, hundreds and hundreds more... and when the content is done, the area goes completely empty, you dont see anyone exploring with a new character even (making Orr impossible to complete some skill points solo), and not many seem to be doing dungeons...

I ran into Aurora Glade's Sparkfly Fen only to notice NOBODY even camping for Tequatl. I know they made it very hard along September, but by now I would have thought people figured out what to do, guess AG just gave up then.

Hoping the new dragon (its a 'new elder dragon' as far as I know) content will be exciting, I need to love Guild Wars again! Will have a look at the feature packs link.

You catch one of the Elf family online, if daily is done, I'll help you run Orr, temples need event chains to unlock, these get completed every now and then ...
