Guild Wars 2

Logged in this morning. Those cliffs in the new Living Story are awesome. It's like one big jumping puzzle town.

Looking forward to logging in later.

Hope it is not like ladt time with winds blowing you off all the time, my Mesmer does not have stability

Gives me time to save up lots of festival tokens to buy lots of Heavy Crafting Mat boxes.

Might just be able to speed up my legendary progress a bit.

Very tempted to make my seventh character a Thief, tho I don't have an Engineer yet ... , will see ...

Srsly, you can't go wrong with Engi. I can't believe people hold out on creating engineers?! It's the most fun (and challenging) class in the game to play... SOOOO versatile and, well, different. Only 3 weapons (pistol, shield and rifle), but the kits and turrets more than make up for it...

A Thief, can go invis, and is good for buggering around in WvW, when things are quiet, like right now ....

dinged 80 with my ele :)

3 down 2 to go, now to decide, thief or ranger...

Hehe ... My 80's are Ele, Necro, Engi, Warrior, Guard so far. Only Thief, Mes and Ranger left.

Ele and Necro are still my favourites, although leveling the Engi up was pretty fun.

So as things stand for me right now, have 5 80's, busy with a 6th, got weapon and armor smithing to 400 and started my legendary chase. Got alot of stuff done. Basically doing stuff my pace the way i want 😁

Wish more people had this attitude towards the game. Their interest would've lasted much longer.

My biggest problem with the game is just that- whenever I complained because I wasn't having fun, I was essentially told I'm playing the game wrong. I was never aware that there was a wrong way to play MMOs, but clearly that seems to be the case with GW2. I've already worked my way through all the content that I am interested in and what content is left for me to play simply isn't stuff I'm interested in. The living story has been incredibly underwhelming thus far and is simply not good enough to keep me coming back.

I'm very saddened by this, because GW2 is a game I desperately want to enjoy, but I just can't. Every few months I reinstall and tell myself "maybe this time will be different", but it just ends in me playing a few hours, sighing and then moving on to other games.

it was like that for me at launch but the reasons for that was due to burn out, long story short 2 mmo's I enjoyed immensely were shit canned due lack of forsight by the publisher, Tabula Rasa just as it got good and City of Heroes/Villains.

but here I am playing a mmo I truly enjoy and it's awesome, basically I got a clear vision of what I want and don't want this time, not gonna go after the SHINY! just because. i'm doing at my pace and not focusing on it alone, i'm trying different things, play styles and characters I would never normally play like the Mesmer and Thief and it's working, I am enjoying the journey this time, not the destination

I never finished the storylines of any of my characters. I don't "feel" the lore of the game in any way. What draws me back constantly is the complex combat system where every build has a counter and the fun is in finding your own niche with a mix of skills, traits and gear.

Since I discovered the joys of PvP, it's been the main reason I log on most days. That, and doing dailies for laurels. I don't enjoy WvW at all (random chaos and freak encounters don't appeal to me) as it's just a case of the team with the most players win. In PvP it's all down to skill and tactics.

My 2c. :D

Awww ... random chaos and freak encounters FTW :D

Actually, I get a lot more joy out of WvW once I learned how to utilise my elementalist properly at choke points - and of course, figuring out the build to do it properly. That being said, I'm not quite there yet - but I still need to put together a set of gear properly tuned to the build.

Of course, that means my roaming ability kinda went out the window, but I was never particularly good at it anyways :p

Quite enjoy WvW myself, chaos, in that the targets are not to be found in static locations and limited map areas?

The challenge is learning how to travel the map without being molested by groups and achieve your goals if you run alone or you can run with the zerg if you have a commander

Wvw... Been there done that got the 1100 honor badges for stuff, got both gifts of battle i'll need. Going for Sunrise and Twilight but not eternity. Makes no sense lose 2 legendaries for one

Still not really ready for legendary, got 2x gifts of battle, 1x gift of mastery, as far as I have progressed in that direction. Artificer at 473, cooking and weaponsmithing at 400 ...
