dinged 80 with my ele
3 down 2 to go, now to decide, thief or ranger...
So as things stand for me right now, have 5 80's, busy with a 6th, got weapon and armor smithing to 400 and started my legendary chase. Got alot of stuff done. Basically doing stuff my pace the way i want í ½í¸
My biggest problem with the game is just that- whenever I complained because I wasn't having fun, I was essentially told I'm playing the game wrong. I was never aware that there was a wrong way to play MMOs, but clearly that seems to be the case with GW2. I've already worked my way through all the content that I am interested in and what content is left for me to play simply isn't stuff I'm interested in. The living story has been incredibly underwhelming thus far and is simply not good enough to keep me coming back.
I'm very saddened by this, because GW2 is a game I desperately want to enjoy, but I just can't. Every few months I reinstall and tell myself "maybe this time will be different", but it just ends in me playing a few hours, sighing and then moving on to other games.

I never finished the storylines of any of my characters. I don't "feel" the lore of the game in any way. What draws me back constantly is the complex combat system where every build has a counter and the fun is in finding your own niche with a mix of skills, traits and gear.
Since I discovered the joys of PvP, it's been the main reason I log on most days. That, and doing dailies for laurels. I don't enjoy WvW at all (random chaos and freak encounters don't appeal to me) as it's just a case of the team with the most players win. In PvP it's all down to skill and tactics.
