even if they won , they didnt deserve to win, 2 missed run outs 2 obvious dropped catches, it was clear from the beginning steyn wasnt bowling at his best, they went into the game with too much confidence thinking new zealand would be a walkover.

No. There is no way that they thought that NZ would be a walkover after their performance beforehand. In fact, we came into this game as the underdogs. Yes, there were some missed chances, but we deserved to win this game just as much as NZ did. It is a hard pill to swallow, but our boys did very well. This is the best performance they've put up in any world cup ever. They are chokers no more!!

I absolutely agree with you. I'm not sure how they could possibly have thought NZ would be a walkover after their performance in the group stages and leading up to the WC. Both sides played incredibly well actually, even though both sides made mistakes: there were four missed opportunities by NZ during our innings.

Well played, I'm proud of the boys. Few things went against us but that's how it goes. Time for that blood pressure pill...

''The most disappointing part of this loss is the fact that we have let all of our fans and supporters down. As much as we are hurting, we also know that every single supporter who has been with us on this journey will be hurting too. Each time we were out in the middle we knew there were many South Africans up early to watch us – we appreciate that. The support from back home has meant a great deal to us as a team, we wouldn’t have gotten this far without it.’’ – AB de Villiers

His speech at the end brought many many manly tears to my eyes.

They did do us proud thats for sure... No one can say they choked...

Agh you will still get a few that get pleasure out of it and I can imagine the comments sections on some of the forums turning ugly. Also don't think they choked. Better team won. Just imagine how tense we felt, and then think how the guys out there in the middle must have felt.

We definitely didn't choke.

Now that SA is out of the game, I'll be backing NZ to win the CWC. Even India can take it, just not Aus.

We choked i feel 6 missed run outs and 3 def catches that was fked up by miscommunication between fielders the moment just got to big, i think it's time we realize SA is not meant to win a Cricket WC and not pitch for the next one. Was truly annoyed for waking up at 3 and watching this and i still feel de kock is useless. I see a India NZ final and i Hope NZ takes it

Renault on Red Bull: ‘Difficult to have a partner that lies’
Sarah Jane Mogford March 25, 2015 F1 - Latest News Leave a comment

It appears the relationship between Renault and Red Bull has indeed hit difficult times, with the Managing Director of their Renault engine supplier publicly accusing them of lying, in the latest war of words.

2014 was a difficult year for the partnership. Renault could be accused of being masters of their own downfall, having pushed for the engine hybrid development restrictions to the extent to threatening to withdraw from F1 if they did not get their own way. However, they were not as far ahead of the development game as they thought and soon found that out in pre season testing in 2014.

It also appears, so far, that the French manufacturer have not made up as much ground over this winter as hoped and again Mercedes are the unit to beat, with the Ferrari engine having made up in performance over the off season. Relationships appeared to be part of the problem from the Red Bull camp, who publicly stated that Renault were being difficult to communicate with and effectively holding back the teams development.

The Adelaide season opener saw Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo finishing sixth (and lapped). The frustration of Red Bull showed when its’ boss, Christian Horner criticised Renault and revealed that the 2015 power unit was sone 100bhp down to other teams.

Designer Adrian Newey also produced negative Renault comments, suggesting that there was ‘no light at the end of the tunnel’ for Renault.

Renault’s Cyril Abiteboul has responded angrily stating, ‘It’s difficult to have a partner who lies.’

He added, ‘Adrian is a charming man and an engineer without parallel, but he’s spent his life criticising engine partners. He’s too old to change his ways’

Abiteboul was keen to emphasise faults in both partners’ realms and to expect better performance in Malaysia in a Renault Press release on Tuesday, stating, ‘Our figures show that the lap time deficit between Red Bull and Mercedes in Melbourne was equally split between drivability issues, engine performance and chassis performance.’

The press release continued, It’s therefore the overall package that needs some help and we have been working with the team to move forward. We’ve been particularly aggressive in development and we should see the results, a lot more clearly in Malaysia, particularly since we have had the opportunity to refine the PU using the data from Australia.’

The Renault statement concluded, ‘Work is still ongoing but even now we are in a completely different place to where we finished Melbourne.’

Fernando Alonso anticipates 'tough' weekend at the Malaysia GP

Fernando Alonso is bracing himself for a “tough” weekend in Malaysia as he embarks on his F1 comeback after suffering concussion in a pre-season testing accident.

If Alonso’s own wellbeing isn’t concern enough at Sepang this weekend, he must also re-acquaint himself with McLaren’s troublesome MP4-30. Forced to miss the Australian GP as a result of his crash in Barcelona last month, the Spaniard watched on as team-mate Jenson Button finished last in Melbourne while a blown Honda engine left stand-in Kevin Magnussen unable to start.

Although McLaren’s drivers think the car will come good eventually, there is a long road ahead - a fact Alonso was quick to acknowledge.

Yea we will not speak about the failure that is Mclaren at the moment.

Is anyone following the India/Aus game? It looks almost certainly to be Australia's game! I can't really believe it. India should have put up a bit of a stronger performance, but that score is difficult to chase under such pressure. I still hope NZ win the final, and I think they have a better chance at it if they are playing Australia. Thoughts?

I followed it a bit. So with the final in Australia, it looks like whoever wins the toss will win the final. And anyone else hear something about how the D/L/S system screwed us over (again). Something about using averages from four years back, which is like 50 odd runs lower than what they are currently. Could be interesting, but what is done is done.

I loosely followed the game today... I didn't expect India to get it right... Especially after the 5-0 drubbing they got in Aus before the tournament...

Ya it complete bullshit that 7 overs equated to a difference of 20 runs... If a team knows they have to face 10 less overs obviously they will be far more agressive, and Mc Cullam showed that in the first 5 overs... He won that game in that short period because he knew it was possible...

Ja, it's true, but like you said, there's no changing the result now. It's a sad disappointment. I saw a (badly written) open letter by Pat Symcox to AB de Villiers, and I think he said what should have been said to get the team's morale back up to a point where they should be able to overcome the defeat.

I dont think we will have a problem with the team bouncing back... It was disappointing but they achieved something no other team has, a knock out stage win, and they should be proud of that...

I think NZ will win this WC the ozzies don't deserve it, i can't believe india folded they way they did. Still proud of the boys even though i still feel they choked. And this weekend is full of rugby again with the 7's and all that running a cricket final :D
