All things Sport

No love for this thread any more...so let me give it some

Last night was the last round of The Masters Golf tournament, and as always, Amen corner determined who would win the Masters. So many times over the year those three holes had determined who would win. Amen corner is notorious because of just that, and last night was no exception. I feel for Spieth, that could not have been easy to deal with, what with hitting 2 balls into the creek at the 12th, losing a 5 shot lead and ultimately ending up second at the Masters.

But, why I did want to resurrect the thread was for Louis Oosthuizens shot on the 16th... just watch the video below and see what he did. Even if you don't like golf you could appreciate this:

Didnt watch the masters this year. But in other sport rossi crashed out this weekend and marquez won again seems motogp has the tyre problems this year f1 has been having in the past. Last weekends race having to be a flag to flag race due to tyre issues. And man what a rugby weekend. Somehow i managed to mis the first 3 games and still managed to climb 5 spots on the bru

So Coetzee is our new Springbok coach with the forwards coach being Johann van Graan and the backline coach Mzwandile Stick.

Yeah well for one we will have the best defence in international rugby and we wont lose games anymore with huge scores cos the attacking team will only be able to score on penalties and drop kicks. So the boks can stand on the 15m every game and just fefend if the other team gets through they deserve a try and after y0 min if they have not scored then we start playing cos they'll be too tired :p

Dont know how van graan managed to stay in that team and sticks yeah lets hope his coaching is like his playing then it can be good.

I am not sure I want to support our rugby teams anymore. Politics and sport should never mingle. Forcing a team to uphold a certain ratio regarding race is just absolute BS. Pick according to merit, that's it. Nothing else.

Anyway... I have been an avid Bulls supporter for all my life. I like the youngsters in the team, but I just don't know if we will manage to get anywhere in the next 2 - 3 years...

Well if we can keep this current team and build with them and not change coaches and play plyers in their natural positions then we can have something special i mean look at the lions. And some of these youngsters are impressive.

Yes, IF we can keep players. Just look at what our two previous (Paul Willemse and Jacques du Plessis) Bulls locks are doing for Montpellier at he moment! They are still so young, wish they could have played for us.

I see the weekend team is announced. I don't like Francois Brummer, would stick with Tian. And I would also stick with Jamba above Bjorn.

Well bjorn is not too bad balut brummer is a complete waste of space and useless as a flyhalf why the bulls bought him back from the kings i dont know rly just hope pillard recovers soon tiaan is a much better flyhalf and up there with jantjies. With him playing i see a hard vame for us this weekend

So our wonderfull sports minister moron mbalula opened his trap again and is basically killing all forms of sport that give this country a back bone. Just kill all sport while your at it cos every sports star in this country is gonna hit the road and then we might as well kill all national teams cos they wont mean anything. And sponsors are going to start pulling out of deals and costing teamz money. So go ahead moron fk up what is left of something good.

Okay I thought you were talking about the starting XV that was anounced Thursday. Jaco Kriel and Ruan Combrinck are the best players in their positions in SA, and I can't understand how they are not in the starting XV, let alone the match 23. Malcolm Marx is also better than the captain.

8 players in the Starting XV played in the last test under Heyneke Meyer, I would have picked only 1 of those 8.

Hehe yeah no, I was talking about the squad. As I commented at MyBroadband and PlanetRugby, it's a real shame that Combrinck and Kriel weren't chosen. However I'm thinking that Coetzee will bring in change gradually. Maybe he's a bit scared of taking out too much experience and hopefully we will see Kriel and Combrinck in the next game.

Unfortunately quotas is a thing and they are both the wrong colour. It makes my blood boil.
