Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

I'm on the Raise the Black Flag stage - Collect 70 metal cargo (yes I know I'm far behind - I blame Havana and all it's stuff to find)

Do you have to take down the lvl 18 Brig or is there anything smaller? :p

I had to take down 2 of the Brigs and took the pirate hunter as well for good measure.

SON... OF... A... BITCH.... so after I updated the game and tried to play now, it doesn't want to boot into the single player!! I just get a back screen.
Got the same issue :( Reinstalled twice, downloaded the entire game from uPlay, because the disc thought the game was installed and uPlay thought it was uninstalled. Loaded it up without the patch and it worked, went online and downloaded the patch and now it doesn't work. Multiplayers fine though. BLEH.

^^ Just found a fix online, amen.

If anyone else comes across this black screen issue, there's a file in the Assassins Creed 4 folder called DataPC_patch.forge. Just rename that file and the game will work.

Damn this game has way too many tailing missions, it's like they cant come up with better ideas for the story missions. Taking a break from the game for a bit since I'm locked out of doing the fun parts atm...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates the tailing missions. I've hated them in all the AC games to date and it's no different here. It's not that they're overly hard, they're just not fun. It's made worse by the fact that the freerunning controls are as finicky as ever, doing the exact opposite of what you want, such as running up a wall when you're trying to run past it or running up a tree when you're trying to dive into cover.

While we're at it, the hacking minigames outside the animus are pretty dumb too. I don't know why developers include minigames when they're not fun. If you can't make your minigame fun, either don't include a minigame or find some other creative way of handling the hacking.

Well, I just finished the main story. All in all, the best AC game in the franchise.

The ending was also pretty decent, but the last two missions leading up to the ending felt really rushed, as if the developers started running out of time for completing the main story quests. The Animus part of the game, however, was the weakest of the lot. Especially the ending of it. They might as well just have left it out entirely.

Now I've got a few schematics left to collect and a few legendary ships that still have to be sent to the deep.

I need to psych myself up to go back and finish that assassination mission that fails as soon as you are detected. For now I'm just putting it off completely because I'm locked to the island till I complete it... :(

Looks like the companion app has hit the small IOS screen, downloading it to my ipod touch now.

They also released the PhysX update. The smoke effects are fantastic from the video I've seen. Although, expect a 20FPS drop according to the reports.

I need a new gpu, graphics look amazing at high but my baby can't handle it. This just adds to my pro list.

Anyone else playing Freedom Cry yet? I'm really enjoying it so far. Story is actually better than that of the base game and the new ship and weapons are pretty cool as well.

I'm getting the season pass later, I don't want to wait between episodes again.
