i watched the movie thursday @ midnight. I thought it was brilliant :D
Dunno bout the game though, played demo for a bit.

This has been a pretty awesome year for movies, this is how i rate what i liked

1. Star Trek (im not a trekkie but daaamn this was Flippin good)
2. Avatar
3. Terminator 4
4. Fast & Furious (has the best story compared to the others IMO
5. Transformers 2 : ROF

awesome flick.

just one con; why the overused theme of an 'evil' entity wanting to mine X from Y, where as Y magically lives ontop or near it and war for freedom follows.

I watched it this evening.

BEAUTIFUL... and sad. :o

My movie of the year.

My heartstrings are easily tugged.

Kinda makes me look forward to the Pest Extermination that is 2012.

I just came back from watching this movie in 3D. It was by far the most amazing visual fest I've ever laid my eyes on. Definitely my pick of the year! :D

I saw this in 3d on Saturday and agree this was an awesome movie , effects where out of this world , Story was good ,Effects where out of this world

It wasn't a bad movie by any means, and visually stunning certainly. But, as Necuno said - the story's been done.

It was tiresomely predictable. So it hardly qualifies as the movie of the decade for me.

There's no denying it's a visual effects and 3D milestone, but once you look past all the razzle dazzle, the rest of the movie is very average indeed. While the actual avatar plot device is somewhat original, it's really just a means to an end - and it's the same end we've already seen countless times. It's also almost unbearably mawkish in parts.

I also think it's really only worth seeing in 3D. I'm not likely to ever bother watching it again.

I've seen much better movies this year, including Inglourious Basterds, Star Trek, and Where The Wild Things Are.

I agree completely, except for two points:
1) I haven't seen The Wild Things Are.
2) The sound design (ie. sound effects and soundtrack) was phenomenal IMO. It made the drawn out 2nd act bearable.

I liked the music and score well enough, I suppose, but the foley and whatnot was nothing much special. Certainly not enough for me to have even really noticed it most of the time. The assault rifles had a nice punch, though.
