I've seen so much base raping from guys you would think dig to play more that I dream about it ....... noobs yeah but established clans ...... suppose dick is just dick no matter the tags.

Just wonder what the heck they are thinking. Was driving my little courier (a Jeep) down from RU on Caspian, when the friendly AA started blasting me, warming up the ban hammer is probably not a bad idea.
On a related note, there was a player from a well know clan, baseraping us from our OWN AA on the carrier last night. Somehow he managed to crash his jet on the carrier and enter our stationary AA that's located on the carrier where the boats, APCs, choppers and jets spawn. He sat there and he baseraped. Weak stuff I tell you. I really feel like I want to publicly name and shame him, but for the sake of being the better person, we will sort it out with his clan leader. That was the most pathetic thing I have ever seen someone in our own community do.

That is sad, sigh, people don't actually know when to stop. I'll encouraging the admins to look for things like this.

Unfortunately this was on a clan server, and their admin was obviously not present. But it would be good to be on the lookout for things like this because it really ruins the game for everyone.
 
Agree with the above - there is a lot of this going on on most of the servers; it is hard to find a balanced server with minimum spawn rapers (nothing worse than being trapped in an ass raping base rape orgy as stated above)

Anyway, I was hoping for some help - me and my buddies are still unable to play the co-op. All ports are forwarded as per the battlelog forums, running Win7-64bit, MS Essentials with all BF3 related exe's added to exclusions, Windows firewall excluded and chrome asa browser. Live chat isn't working (you have to refresh the page) and invites aren't going out.

I trust this is thread related and am hoping someone can help. Thanks.
 
I agree with base-spawn rape being frowned upon >_< I try not to. However I've seen people complaining at me for running into a flag spawn area and placing my own spawn beacon and ... well... you know how the rest goes :D if I find that happening to me I just spawn elsewhere. Sometimes common sense can curb the raging.

Spawn rape isnt as bad as base rape. If the team cant leave their base it is really retarded... i try to spawn furthest away to help them get out as it is a game killer for _both_ sides

Since game launch it has been extremely difficult to actually join a game server to play. 99% of the time i get all the way too 'connecting' and it just sits there forever (black screen with flashing 'loading'). It normally goes: joining server, initialising, logging in, connecting then just sits there 99% of the time and doesn't move to the next step which is 'loading level' which should take you into the game server.

Now you can see i have played and got ranks and stuff and this just hanging at 'connecting' is getting worse and worse.

My specs:
i7 950 quad (Not overc'd)
8gb DDR3 Ram
MSI 460 GTX (used 2nd latest and now latest beta drivers)
Win 7 64-Bit Pro
Origin is updated
Battlelog is up to date
Kaspersy AV (tried it on and off - no diffs)
MSI-Afterburner (even tried over / under clock my GPU)

Did any1 have the same issues and got a fix for this but more importantly, is it my ISP or EA/Dice or? If i could find out where the problem lays i could then try to narrow it done and hopefully sort it.

Any help much appreciated.

Might not be your computer. I have had some issues with mine a few weeks ago. Factory reset of my router seemed to work. Also make sure your router's UPnP is disabled as well as the UPnP and SSCP services in Windows. I have not opened the ports again after resetting my router.

Tsar dude, I think you're the only person in the world that actually plays Battlefield. Whenever he's in my squad he's constantly reviving and throwing ammo/meds. Seriously, is it really that hard? Gawed!

Yes, I played a rush map last night with a guy mortar spamming all the way from defence. Luckily for us DICE has seen the mortar spamming scurge and this is their reply http://bf3blog.com/2011/11/dice-looking-to-fix-mortar-spam-in-battlefield-3/.

Base and spwn raping should be seriously looked at. Yes, it is my fault for dying when I spawn on a guy in a fire fight, to help out you see. But I think DICE should exclude spawn areas from the opposing team. Give them a minute to vacate in Rush or else they Suicide because they did not leave. Seen on Kharg island guys hiding in the rocks on rush, spawn killing / base camping the hell out of the attacking team.
 
I really can't wait to see what they've done with the old classics of BF2. Gonna make for some epicness and many late nights.
 
Xero we should do it again sometime. That map is just a bit big for 8 people. Oh and you and your blerrie chopper.

Yeah was very interesting to be honest. We are not used to bf style matches. So a bit out of our comfort zone. I seriously need to get one of our guys to train to be a better pilot. They were schooled last night.
 
Nice, I'm excited to see that they're planning on beefing up the jets' effectiveness. Just recently unlocked the rocket pods, still need to test them out properly to see if they can be effective tank killers.
