Best budget gaming keyboard

Just keep my stuff in immaculate condition actually :p I have opened it a dozen times and am planning on re-doing the LED's and dying the cover again.

Do you know where i could aquire a cherry mx tool to use to remove the keys if i want to clean beneath them?

I know that they are hard to take off properly without this tool...

No idea, frankly I actually open the keyboard. Thing about the G15 and I'm sure my G510 is that you must open it to get to the keys, since they don't pop out easily.

Trust me, open the whole thing up. Only removing the keys and cleaning them and below them is 20% of the dirt.

haha I remembered when I was at school we changed the keys of the girls to say a special mesage. And to troll the rugby players.

would any of you guys recommend buying a wireless gaming keyboard

Never, a dead mouse during play can cause some panic, a dead keyboard will downright give you a heart attack.

That is why they are so rare.
Is there any way of seeing that it has low battery , I know you can see it at the dashboard on the xbox with a xbox controller

I use a Logitech K260 wireless keyboard and have no problems with it and have not changed the battery since the day I bought it yet the mouse battery went flat fast so went back to my razor tron one.

If this wireless in has a plug in or wireless then maybe... So you can easily reconnect it when it has no power and do not have to change the batteries

I think the most budget gaming keyboard you can get is the A4Tech X7 mouse and keyboard bundle for under R500.

And don't laugh it's not a half bad combo. :p

The Coolermaster Storm QuickFire is on sale at zaps (R866.00):

It's a mechanical Keyboard at a decent price, a little above your budget - Here's a link.
Spec Page @ CM.com

Once you have used a mechanical keyboard, you won't ever want to go back to spongy, rubber dome keyboards. I got myself this CM KB for use at the office as I do a lot of typing and it's heaven!

Sure it's loud, but if you gaming a loud KB shouldn't be an issue. Also this thing weighs a ton, so it feels rock solid. After you go mechanical, you can go full nerd and customise your keycaps to all sorts of weird and wonderful combinations:

What about input lag? I have never found a wireless mouse or keyboard that doesn't require ESP for FPS games due to an ever so slight input lag

I really do like that Quickfire hey, no scratched off letters too!

I really want to try out a mechanical keyboard before I buy one but I still don't get what makes them so much more expensive when they do so much less

You know how a steering wheel feels when you turn corners in a game, you dont get that with a keyboard.

With a mechanical one you do.

AFAIK?
