Of course, this only applies to the PC version, and it means that players will have to have Steam installed to play the game.
Glad they went this route, I was actually hoping they would use Steamworks.![]()
Time to find out a way past steam with a legit version of the game just like Skyrim.
You shall not have my serial keys steam!!
I find it slightly interesting that someone who has a signature involving stats from an online only multiplayer game can complain about a platform that benefits people who are always online. Not to mention that very same game requires Origin.
Borderlands 2 players will enjoy the benefits of Steamworks features, such as Steam Achievements
Yeah they are so greedy they animated and vo'ed a marriage proposal for one of their fans, for nothing. Damn those greedy sobs. However after they buttsexed the duke nukem reloaded team I'd not be supporting them till they go non corporate greed route.
Do Not Speak Ill Of The Master Or You Will Face Wrath !!!
I dunno, I wouldn't call myself a fanboy. The last time I actually played something on Steam was probably more than a month ago, but I love the platform. Despite its shortcomings, I find owning something on Steam gives me a sense of security I don't get from retail games.
Whether you like Steam or not is your choice but that statement is just utter nonsense. Steam isn't just a "browser that opens games" it's a digital distribution platform which includes many different aspects, most of which I love, some of which I don't.Why all the love for steam? its a little browser that opens games.
Intrusive bloatware....
This "Intrusive bloatware..." has been one of the strongest driving forces for many aspects of PC gaming, so much so that without it PC gaming might not be as strong as it is today.
I strongly agree with this. And with Steam sales increasing 700% year after year, it would be really ignorant to ignore the impact Steam has on the PC gaming industry.
