Comic Books

I am very flexible Sin City and Walking Dead thats a given already read . Spawn been ages
Really looking for a good read
tolerance level to violence hmmmm bring it on :)

I'd recommend the Boys and Crossed to you. They were recommended to me by Godfather (on here too). They are works of Garth Ennis, so you can be sure to see some of the craziest things that you will ever see in comic book pages. They are also collected in trade paperbacks and you can get them from Kalahari and Takealot for relatively cheap. Note: I have asked what your tolerance to violence, sex and gore is...you have been warned...hehehehe

Hi Venom, you have to check out the following comics ...some is from Vertigo DC but unlike the mainstream Superhero crap...not that I dislike superheroes, i just hate mainstream. Here we go - Y- the last man by B. K. Vaughn
- 100 Bullets by Brain Azzarello
- Pride of Bagdad by B.K. Vaughn
- Ronin by Frank Miller
- The Pro by Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmiotti
- Just a pilgrim by Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmiotti
- Sandman by Neil Gainman
- the Courtyard by Allan Moore
- Neonomicon by Allan Moore
- V for Vendetta by Allan Moore
- Hellblazer by so many awesome authors but if you get any of Garth Ennis's or Brain Azzarello's run you cannot go wrong.

I think than should keep you occupied for at least a weekend:)

Let me know what you think.

I am currently enjoing the sh/t out of Saga. Also a series by Bryan K. Vaughn. So freaking awesome. Currently on issue 5 and apparently there are going to be 70 issues.

got 100 Bullets, Ronin and I DL some Spawn ( the art style is very glaring and saturated , have to say not really winning me over this guy Philip Tan very odd way of composing a scene )

I also recently got 100 Bullets as a gift. I have only read the first volume, but I'll definitely get the rest once the Boys finishes up (probably in the next few months). Let us know what you think.

I checked out Captain Marvel this weekend. Its not something that i would normally take but wanted to take a look anyway. Man the Art work is so so sick. You guys need to check it out. Artist is Dexter Soy.

The new Captain Marvel? I have checked out some previews of it, looks awesome.

Where do you guys buy your statues from? If any of you have them.

Looking to get the new Hot Toy's Dark Knight Rises. Readers Den has given me a price but want to see if I can get it cheaper.

I buy all my statues from AmiAmi.

They sell the Hot Toys range as well, but if you don't order when the pre-orders open then you'll have a difficult time to actually secure one due to the popularity of the range.

Joe from Smallville comics just posted that he will be getting these in but you have to pay 50% deposit for him to order them. Looks pretty sick

He is charging a few hundred rand more than Reader's Den. I suppose he's ordering from them.

I'm almost have my mind made up on the 1/6th Batman...been saving since i saw it. The only thing holding me back is I don't have a protective place to put it. Looking into finding a small glass cabinet.

I see on Facebook that Cosmic Comics is having a R5 sale on Saturday. Awesomesauce. Also, they have moved further down the road, by Steve's Spar (just so that you don't pitch at the wrong place if you decide to go).
