Diablo 3 Beta - Feedback :}

The graphics look a bit outdated considering they have been working on it for so long. But still good, but could be better with todays stuff.

True, but I don't mind so much. Blizzard games don't always have the best graphics but their gameplay is rock solid and I think that's what counts.

Considering that Top Down Isometric is pretty much a dead view format I think they did good. The Art direction is also spot on, if it had a more "realistic" look it would have hampered the diablo-ey feel of it. I think the amount of detail in the levels is astounding though.

What it lacks in fidelity it makes up for in art design and animation. It's a great looking game that can run a wide range of PC's.

Yeah they do a good job to cater for a huge range of hardware.

I've always said any design team can build a game that looks awesome on High End Hardware. It take real masters to make a game look good on a wide range of hardware configurations. Witcher 2 is a good example. The PC version was pretty resource intensive & while the console version has lost a little of the PC's graphical fidelity it still manages to be one of the best looking games on the platform.

When beta ends, then I'll brake a leg if it doesn't drop. I guess the test realm is just on one box in usa...

Guy in the office made a point, make a game support all hardware types = big cash = less customer support when user cranks graphics up and complains. I was dissapointed, just when i saw i got full Graphics on and there was jaggered edges on my Character i was like emmmm.

Dont get me wrong guys, being someone who had rich friends and had to sit there and watch them play Diablo 1 and 2, I am very happy they kept everything original, from the music with the guitar riff, but i also love the element of breaking and making up items.
Its going to epic that i can say, just wish the support for a global user server, then a sub server for Multi - Single player servers should be localised with the option of playing over other servers.

That is very hard to understand...

So it did.

Let me try again, Using DOTA 2 as eg...:-
1) User has a global steam profile (Can be used anywhere and everywhere)
2) When the user logs into Dota 2 the interface is connected globally to all Chat rooms and profile servers.
3) When starting a Single Player - Multi Player game, the user has an option which server you would like to join (i.e. USA west, USA east , Europe East ,Europe West, Africa , Austr , etc)
4) If user uses Auction house, that looks at global servers.
5) When a user sets game to public, then a US boy joins, it will connect him to Africa servers.

Make sense now?

I just this whole lock down on two main countries for servers is bull.LOL does it and thats why i stopped playing. They made it that you can have a US account and EU account, now that screwed it up cause if you played on US,what you did there did not reflect on EU.

You can change which regional server you connect to in the options in Diablo 3, the other servers just weren't up during the beta but they will be for release. Hence you can play in any region you like. As for DOTA2 there are no African servers, unless they just added them recently.

Yeah thats what I would like some African servers thats all.....Didnt see the regional as I started this weekend and didnt pay attention to much besides the game itself.Dont want to start a debate why Africa hardly gets support for servers.EA games are to the exception having offices in Jozi.

Any idea which?

I don't see a desperate need for SA servers. Playing yesterday on an overburdened US server resulted in perfectly smooth gameplay so playing on the EU servers should should be near perfect.
