Duke that is just the server status, Im not sure who else has a PS version, maybe ask on the FB page?

A friend of mine got himself a copy of the game and while he struggled at first with the installation, he finally managed to install it only to be greeted by a 3.5GB update. Now he does not have uncapped internet and at this time of the month he cannot download the update. I do, however, have uncapped and offered that he come and download it at my house. Will he be able to play if we install the game on my PC, log in using his credentials, let the game update and then just copy the entire folder over to an external from where he can then copy the files over to his original install directory? I know some MMO's work like this, but maybe this one doesn't and I just want to make sure before we download the 3.5 GB.

You can do this yes. I gave my client to two other people who wanted to play during the beta.

My problem is linking my PSN account to my Square Enix account. I am forever greeted with a message "Server not responding".
It times out throughout the whole log in process but I can't get past linking my accounts.

I've Googled and Square Enix have nothing to say on the matter at all, just certain servers are closed etc...

Won't be playing myself, never been a FF fan and I don't really do the MMO thing either.

Have you tried doing the linking on the account management website?

I've redeemed the code on PSN already...

*sigh* I just want to register lol, I don't mind waiting for server space an shit, but man, not being able to register sucks.

I can't even bring this up on the FF14 forums because it requires me to register the game :rolleyes:

Do you mean the game loads up to the starting screen then kicks you whilst giving the error "server not responding?"
Cause atm there are login issues with moogle. My start button is greyed out at times or the server can't retrieve the character lists for EU/NA.
Maybe all servers are overloaded. Registering and what not.

I get greeted with a screen telling what steps will now take place to register my game. It then asks if I have a Sqeenix account already (I do) so I log in, it then says it's gonna sync my PSN ID to my Sqeenix account, I confirm and boom, server not responding.

At any step in-between I get the same error at any stage during that process though, but mainly when I want to sync. It sometimes fails after I click next after the greeting screen. I haven't made it so far as to launch the game or at least patch :(

Gah And I am just struggling registering the game onto my account, I got a different format code to the one on the moogle site
 
So you have to register the physical copy version of the game as well?

BTW is there a way to change your appearance ingame.?

Your code should be 20 digits long, eg. xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. Is it like that?

Isen for some reason I got the 20 digit one as well as a shorter one. I tried the 20 digit one now and i am registered and did the CE upgrade :P

Now to figure out what the monthly subs are - the standard 30days for 1 char is 11euro. the 8 char one for 30 days is 13 euro. I think I might just get the standard one for now.
 
guys those that are battling with server lists etc...try restarting your router. I had an issue where my EU list would not pick up at all for some reason, rebooting the router sorted it for and and someone else, cant remember who...

Seems some of the session/netcode is not 100%

Holy shit! I'm downloading the patch! I'm so happy I could cry :cry: :o

Can someone just quickly explain to me how the permanent options on a Sqeenix account works. While registering the CE I was chosen to link it with a permanent account, as I did though the "server did not respond" and I had to do it again, but now it wanted me to register the beta. I freaked a little but I registered it to my same CE service as I didn't want my game time and CE goodies to be registered to two different accounts. Anywho I'm downloading the patch now but I'm worried I'll be playing with beta restrictions or something, will this happen?
