Yeah, haha. Having 3 BLMs might have played a part in it being so easy :D

Of course it did :D Flare ftw! But our guild has no shortage of strong mages....so = easy Garuda! :D I would love to try with a full guild grp and see how it goes...if we can farm her easily enuf as guild we can all get our garuda weapons, making everything else easier.

Yup and then Titan is looking real scared over there, waiting for us. :)

We need to take stock of who is where on the relic weapon quest and start getting a guild group together to catch them up. I suggest using some of the higher geared peeps to make proceedings a little smoother.
 
We managed to get a few AK runs in last night and also finish Chimera for Val and Wyv.

Must admit the level 50 lance from the GC has made a nice difference.
Now we need to make a plan to get Hydra done.

If you can get a FC group for hydra and need a DD, I'll help out. I'm not going to help you guys if there is a pug tank/healer. Really don't want to get stuck with idiots that are unable to learn mechanics or use their brain.
 
No worries there, I can't stand pugging on boss mechanics. That and I cannot spend 30mins discussing the mechanics in game chat when TS is there ;)
 
Guys, once I hit 50, I will finish the forums and open them to the public. Owing to my current health and RL situation, it is almost impossible to do both (I'd had to choose one over the other), and Vahlor wants me to get to 50. He has been helping me with my required dungeons.

You must msg me if you need me for dps in your dungeons please!

Yup agreed, myself and Toryn are slowly getting there. He is 27 and i am 24 atm. We will catch up soon enough to join you all.
 
Awsome Blackswan...all peeps are now starting to get ready to hit end-game. I cant wait. Those that are a little ahead are practice the harder instances to get tactics down to help other peeps.
Cant wait til whole guild is semaring hydra, then primals. We will get relic weapons easy that way.....we have pretty much perfected ifrit Hm and garuda HM...just Titan to tackle.... like Mal said...he is sitting scared in his corner! :D

Hope you get better soon swan....also shout if you need some DPS.....am leveling a healer as alt when Im not on my main. Intend to unlock Whitemage and scholar same time.
 
Thanks. I'm basically there. I'm 49, just lost interest and had other more pressing things to attend to. Tactics are the easy part, it's the people who don't know/observe them who are the problem! So, therefore, if everyone knows tactics (I'm including myself here, obviously) and doesn't fail, it should go quite quickly. Also, in my opinion, raid time is raid time and chatter time is chatter time. When the big dungeons come out I reckon only RL should be speaking on TS unless someone has something raid-specific to add because the banter drives me NUTS and it's very distracting.

Anytime BlackSwan, dungeons are WAY more fun than bloody crafting and gathering (though I need to start making some money, repairs are not cheap).

As for raiding or even the 8mans, I agree on the chatter. It should be focussed on what is happening and nothing else. Otherwise the plot gets lost a little easily. Some runs are so ingrained by now that it is memory reflex for some, but sometimes it can get a little too busy on the voice :)
 
Hitting burnout, been grinding castrum over and over for almost 2 weeks, and ifrit/garuda over and over again hoping for a weapon. It is getting a bit thin. Going to chill and do stuff slowly for a while, going to rage for the weekend. That will take me away from FFIX for a few days, probably a good thing.

Nope, I am with friends and I go where they go. We are going to be playing at rage and then at the place we are staying, so won't be making the meet and greet.

Enjoy though ;-)

Maybe I will see someone at rage itself, I will be at the boardgaming section all weekend.

Spent my lunch setting up some better macro's for my scholar. Should ease the problem I sometimes have when the game just refuses to select the person I want to heal.

I even set up a nice macro to cast stone skin on everyone in an 4 man party and a second macro to cast stone skin on the remining 4 if I am in a 8man. (now just to get my conjurer to 34 so I can use it XD)
