Finally set up Netflix

Is anyone running netflix via their samsung smart tv?

I set my netflix and unotelly up last night.
I can access hulu+ just fine but my netflix app black screens then exits when I open it.

It'll be kinda pointless if I have to use my laptop to watch tv.

Guys, I'm getting issues on my netflix on my xbox because of the DNS setting I'm using. Basically keeps displaying shit from "Streamhelp.tv" instead of the show thumbnails and whatnot. Also sometimes does not even get into netflix.

Seems like I was using a free service, and they've decided to make it a paid service :(

Anyone have this issue? Its unotelly still working fine? Any of the free services?

I'm paying for Unotelly's premium package.

It's R55pm and I've had zero hassles since I started using it a couple months ago.

Still working through my free month, but I can honestly say my wife and I are hooked. So glad we cancelled DSTV and opted to get 4mbps uncapped...

Dammit man, I didn't want to go back to UnoTelly. Paying another R55 for just a DNS is exorbitant, well, in relation to the full netflix subscription of what, R85.

Well it's not just for the DNS. That's what we're using it for.

If you follow their instructions, you can setup UnoTV which has a variety of different channels which is included in your subscription.

Have you found a solution to your problem? Also using on my Samsung smart and I've never had that issue. Don't know if it's possible but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

Any clue how much data netflix streaming uses on average? I used to have a 6mb uncapped account but I found the streaming just sucked and was unreliable so I m now using a 180gig capped account, of course this capped can always be raised, was just wondering how much data you guys are using on netflix.

I managed to find out it is a problem with the app version 4.0.5
One work around that seems to work for a few people is this :

Reset your apphub and switch region to UK.
Ensure auto app updates are off.
Get netflix from UK app store.
Switch back to US.

The version should now be 3.x and work fine.
Just don't auto update until a working version on the US side is out.

This depends on your line speed. Netflix does better quality if the line is fast and this uses more data. So I guess usage can be anything between 200mb -> 1GB per hour watched. I haven't checked my usage in ages but I'll try to report back.
I'd like to hear what mileage others get.
What are your data consumption (per hour) in Netflix, guys?

I dont really monitor netflix on its own, but with everything involved, total usage is between 70gigs and 150gigs a month. Its the best I can give.

From what I've read, lowest quality is around 300MB/hour. You can double that with every quality increase, so highest quality should be around 900MB/hour. Seems realistic based on my usage so far. The wife watched on lowest quality just before we got uncapped and used up 1.8GB during a Sunday morning/afternoon.

Sorry, bit of a late reply. I'm getting 480 res on a 4 Mb line and the wife can happily go through 10GB a day on the weekend. Less during the week at least
