Guys seems people accounts are being stolen because some 3de party website has been hacked, So they are asking people to change their passwords.

So i sorted my issue out with not seeing anyone else online. Router port allowances and firewall setting and then AV.

Seems my network was too tight for Cockstars :(

Not sure.. didn't find anyone mentioning this annoyance on the steam forums.

I'm digging the songs on the default radio stations, switching between rock, channel x and non-stop pop.
Just not sure how Phil Collins is considered rock... O_o

Are you kidding? Early Genesis ROCKED!

Hey guys.
Noob question here:
I want to guy the game on steam.
Now 1 of my friends has the game disks. Is there anyway i can install the disks and then connect it to my steam account? Would really want this via steam.

Also, if playing via steam would this also link to Rockstar social club?

I NEED more RAM! Payday can NOT come soon enough! Crashing and loading/stuttering becoming so frequently annoying!

It might be possible but tricky. Maybe try and find someone close to you willing to create a steam backup.

If you buy it on Steam, it still links to R* Social Club.

As for the install, this might work.

Install the game from the disks somewhere. Buy the game on Steam and start the install so it creates the required folders. Then stop the install. Copy the contents of the already installed game and paste them in /Steam/steamapps/common/grand theft auto v/.
Then, in your Steam Library, right click GTA5 and select properties. From the Local Files tab, click Verify integrity of game cache. Hopefully it will detect the files already on your PC and only download what is necessary.

This has worked for me in the past, but not always. Also keep in mind that you need about 130GB of free space when doing this, otherwise Steam might refuse to do anything. (even though the game only uses 60-65GB)

I'm actually having RAM delivered today because of this game. :p

Well, for The Witcher 3 too but that's still a month away.

I have the extra 4GB stick at home, just waiting for its second chance to be in my PC (as I tested it out already).
Have to actually buy myself a new mobo to accommodate the extra RAM. Been stuck on 4GB for too many years now.

My CPU is new(ish), my GPU is upgraded RAM stays at 4GB.

I also built a new PC a year ago and stuck on 4GB RAM for the time being. The problem is that so far very few games actually require more than that. Everyone keeps going on about how you need 16GB nowadays, but unless you're going to multitask I haven't actually come across many games that push more than 4GB.

I'm adding 4GB and I suspect 8GB should tide me over for another year or two.
