I can't recall owning a game bigger than 6cds before publishers switched over to dvd. Think it's about time we switch to blu-ray. Super blu-ray because of pc superiority.

I think you'll find that very few PC gamers have (or care about) blu-ray drives.

I've built hundreds of pc's and out of those about 10 had blu ray drives.
Its more likely that hard copies will fall away.

Same here, but I have a feeling it's going to take a while to decrypt the files anyway, on Steam at least. And there will probably be a day 1 patch too.

Do you guys imagine that GTA V will have a day one patch or require an initial once-off connection to R* Social Club to play?

I'm still without internet and don't want to wait.

I'm almost 100% sure the retail version will have a day 1 patch. R* social should be the same as in MP3/GTA4 with offline mode.

I'm not sure if copy protection needs to phone home though. Desura or something.
