Guild Wars 2

Okay - the big question now is:

Are we staying on Lakeside County or are we looking for a different home? I ask this because a couple of guys have raised concerns about low populations, and I expect the PvP'ers aren't going to be happy campers on a server that gets curb-stomped on a regular basis. While I'm not big on PvP myself, I don't want to exclude those guys who do want to spend time in WvW and at least come out on top from time to time.

We still have plenty of time to figure it out I suppose, but BWE3 gives us our final chance to explore - and I'm hoping for a character wipe so we can see if the server-balances change. But I figure it's worth kicking the discussion off early.

We moved to Whiteside Ridge and its very well populated so I'm thinking of staying put for the next beta. I guess we can make a final decision after then?
 
I am happy with Lakeside County.. but where-ever the most SA players go i'll go.. so we should start putting a POLL together with like 3 servers.

btw Shadowfox.. thats then 7PM on the Saterday?

Works for me :) We can make a short-list of candidate servers (no more than 2 - 4) and have a vote on it. I'll create a poll in a 3rd party app so we can get the entire (local) community to vote and not get votes limited to a single forum/site.

That would be correct. So you'll have time to go shopping and stock up on ... whatever ... :D
 
Question: the early access is obviously granted to those who have pre-ordered the game. Does that apply to pre-orders through someone like BT Games? Or where does one purchase it from to ensure early access on the 25th?

I'm so stoked yet so depressed as my August disposable income is going to take quite the knock :D

I think it's only for those who pre-purchased not pre-ordered if i am correct.

You get 3 days headstart for pre-purchase and 1 day for pre-order. Not sure who if anyone still has stock of the pre-purchase in SA, you might have to get it from the Guild Wars 2 website https://buy.guildwars2.com/en/.

Aha, thanks! I pre-ordered last year and received an email saying I could pay whenever. Didn't realise that it would include the code. Thankfully today is pay day so I shall pay tomorrow :D

Yeah for sure! That was the whole point...may as well wait until the 28th then :D I've already written that weekend off as the first true nerd weekend in eons ;)
