I saw the Thread on MyBB and i have to agree with Azimuth. People who chip consoles for the express purpose of playing pirated software are filth.

I do not have stats, and I am curious about this. How many people that pirate products actually ever go out and buy the original if they found they loved said product?

I, too, buy when I feel is worth my money and delete the rest. Think of it as extended demo'sIt's very satisfying looking at your collection of legal games and thinking "my precious.'"
Just so you know you can/could get games from the library. It didn't cost anything except your yearly R30 library card. get the game for 3 weeks and then return it. That's how i played Giants: Citizen Kabuto for the first time and The Sims.
Don't know about it now... was 10 years ago.
Of course, these are almost always restricted to console titles - start renting out PC games, and you're pretty much supporting piracy.
