They should make a charcoal league for people like me, who want to build a row of cannons across the entire map, and have 200 supply of carriers.
Remember we used to try play Age of Empires?

Okay. The cheesy tactics online and attitude of most people online have completely put me off of this game. To be quite honest here, MOST of the online games are the same. Same cheesy, cheap rushes OVER AND OVER again with the same build orders and general noob tactics.
I know people say "each match is different" but the only thing that changes is that you play against people that either use cheesy tactics or people that don't know them YET.
No thanks. This game is extremely overrated in my opinion.
I'll stick to my FPS / Fighting and Racing games.
Man, I'm struggling against Terran (with Terran - yes I know how lame that sounds). That MMM strat is a killer. Any suggestions for effective counters? Currently I try take out the medivacs ASAP with Vikings. Any other suggestions?

I've been reading these forums for some time now and i see that most people do not understand very well the game at this point. Also i see top ranked terran players that don't even know how to play their selected race.
After almost 300 ladder games, and watching the same amount of high tier player tournaments replays i've come to these conclusions:
Terran is the most powerful race at this point because :
1. a terran player can play 1 base all in much safer then any other race
2. a terran will almost always have a better economy because of the mules
3. barracks units build too fast and cost too little, their upgrades do not require an extra building, just an addon
4. marauders own badly all gateway / mid game zerg units
5. mass banshee - vikings own zerg players way too badly
6. vikings counter colossus extremely easy at a lower price, supply and building time (if you go colossus vs terran you lose)
7. terran scouting capabilities are much better then that of the other races (not that they would need much scouting)
8. terran players never have to fear anything, mass MMM can counter anything therefor they dictate the game, zerg and protoss have to counter the terrans
9. terran harass capabilities are too potent, you can chose between:
a) marauder / bunker rush
b) reaper / bunker rush
c) helion rush
d) proxy barracks
e) vs protos especially, mass marauders - tech switch into mass banshee with cloak (observer is not as fast)
f) high ground siege tank / bunker drop vs natural expansion
d) multiple massive marauder - siege tank drops at all of the enemy's expansions (minimum units lost)
- all of the above can be countered by a skilled protos / zerg player (the skill lvl of the player who counters these must be higher then that of the terran in order to succeed)
And last but not least i present to you the free to win ticket vs protos, playing as terran
* 1 base bunker turtle - mass mules, mass marine - marauder - ghost (STIM EMP), early to early mid game all in push (minute 7 - 12) *
the terran's army size will be at least 10 supply higher because of the mules, and barracks units being cheaper then gateway units + same army size gateway vs barracks units... gues who would win![]()
the ghost is just there to totally humiliate you and show that you had absolutely no chance
Zerg is following close behind because: (i will compose my reasons in comparison with protos)
1. late game zerg air is supreme
2. 6 pool is quite effective vs anything if you do it right
3. infesters deal with marine - marauder ball much more effective then high templars
4. mass zerlings / roaches into mass zerlings roach - hidra + corrupters are extremely if not impossible to beat as a protoss player
5. zerg still mine faster then a protoss player
6. borrowed (as in cloaked) units can pass under force fields - dark templars can't
7. zergs can't scout early - mid game properly (and they do need scouting)
And again... i present to you the free win ticked vs a protoss player
* 1 base early baneling bust + zerlings into mass mutalysks *
- the banelings will force the protoss player to have a potent ground army to defend againts the aggressive zerg making him unable to get blink or pheonixes early
- when the zerg player decides to get the spire, he can instalty spawn 4-6 mutalisks witch can harass the protoss player for all eternity as he is unable to counter that... good luck chasing the mutalisks with your stalkers![]()
ps: as a downsize, the zerg requires the highest APM to play effectivly
And last... and least... the protoss:
1. zealot rushes are too effective vs an honorable macro type apponent
2. extremely early void rays own zerg players each time (short air distance maps)
3. late game protos air to ground / air to air units are useless
4. the protoss are missing 1 unit, you know... helion - siege tank - thor vs immortal - collosus - ??? (something that shoots air ?)
5. the mothership is a joke, it can get owned by 6 marines![]()
I've made this thread hoping that terran players learn to play their race more effectively and therefor start to own each time all the other zerg and protoss players until the game gets balanced.
I also hope that zerg players start using banelings - muta build more often vs protoss... so that the protoss will lose each time until the game gets balanced.

I am a SC2 beginner (read n00b) and I get rushed in online games, really not fun...
Read this on the offical starcraft 2 forum, in my opinion I stand to agree with this oke on most of his points.
If i can recall correctly he is mainly playing as terran, whats ur okes stance on this
Counter it...
Scout to see that he is rushing, and then prepare!

I played against a Terran player the other day, quite a long game and he ended up nuking the crap out of me 'cos I had nothing that could detect cloaked unitsI have learned, and now build towers quite soon to prevent this... Any other ideas?
