As soon as Telkom gives us an ADSL line, I will download for you.
From where should the files be downloaded?

Is the LOTRO client hosted locally? I want to download it and play :D.

Update: The Wage ftp has the EU client, so I can download it on freezone :D.

Yeah I think it has micro transactions.

The Wage ftp is down at the moment so I haven't been able to download the client yet :(.

lol, well imho not really free if you still have to roll out the dosh. anyways, i suppose it's better than nothing...

in total, how much of data will I need to download? is there a direct link or do I need a client downloader?

Is anyone still playing this on Snowbourne? I've got a lvl 16 hunter who wouldn't mind some company....

Try giving one of the guys from "Bringers of the Light" a buzz. They're quite active and all South African (From PE etc.)

Yeah it will, better to try and get the client form someone.

Something I've found with trying this is that it doesn't always work, graphics cards between the different installs being a big issue - my desktop is Nvidia, my notebook is ATI, and not a damn will the notebook run the copy of the install I copied over from the desktop. Maybe somebody has a way of getting it to work that I don't know of though?
If you're copying between machines with the same graphics hardware, it'll work at least, but there's a fairly irritating and painful process of having to redownload .Net, DirectX & maybe one or two other things that the game insists it has to do, even if you already have the appropriate software / API's / plug ins / etc installed on your machine. But at least it works.
