MW3? Don't buy this crap.....

Look, I was a huge BF2 fan back in the day, lost interest the day the servers got flooded with hackers back in 2008. Then started playing Cod and loved it very much, but once again it got old. But the day I found out that there is actually a BF2 sequel in the making I almost shed a tear of happiness :)

I am now playing BF3 non-stop and played MW3 at a friend’s house the other day just to check whether it might still be worth getting the title, but like many of my other friends who bought both said ... “All I could think about while I was playing MW3 was...I could be playing BF3 now”

The choice for me is clear and obvious. I know of fellow BF3 players who still haven't even opened their MW3 pre-orders yet.

Its the sequel so what if it hardly changed i for one wanted to see the ending of the story i never said BF3 sucks or anything i admit BF3 looks better but i played MW3 for the story and got BF3 for a new thing and come on BF3 MP is fun except those mortars it something diffrent after awhile..

I was not impressed with MW3, it was quite sad and did not take me by much of a surprise either. I played the multiplayer for a few minutes and decided to head for the hills before the usual annoyances of COD got to me. Multiplayer is nothing new, same old regurgitated crap they bring out every year. Must say, I preferred MW2 and Black Ops to this. Then again, I may have not allocated enough time to the game before making my decision.

Single player on the other hand is phenomenal. Absolutely loved it, spent a good few hours and played it through twice. Probably the only part of the game that I would say justifies the cost. No groundbreaking graphics, however the storyline is exciting and carries you through some newly applied game mechanics.

I also had a bash at the co-op, enjoyed that too, although the weapon upgrades on survival are not exactly overwhelming, and far from it.

Would I recommend it? - Well, if you are in the need of somewhat decent multiplayer game, then yes. However if you have just purchased Battlefield 3 and are contemplating whether the purchase of MW3 is worth while, then probably not. Single player campaign and co-op missions are great, but probably won't be the deciding factor on peoples minds before they smack R500 on the shop counter.

i haven't tried the coop yet but R500 is far to much and only reason i got it was takealot had it under 400 on pre-order. Single player is good but not worth R500.

Agreed, but for that price-point people are better off going with Battlefield 3. Single player may not be as good as the one from MW3, but at least the option is present. Co-op is available too. But of course, Battlefield 3's multiplayer is what everyone is talking about.

So it depends on whether you want to play by yourself...or with others. Damn, thought only Xbox and PS3 games were +R500 bucs...

wish there was a cheaper version just to play the single player would really like to see how the story pans out hopefully the price will drop then I would pick it up. As for mp BF 3 is allot more fun for me like the team play more but as for being a one man army owning a whole server MW3 wins in that category :)

im still amazed this thread is still goin, give it a rest lol!

Reading this makes me wanna cry.
I ordered this and Rage. It gets delivered today sometime.
Rage is also not that great either. R600 spent on junk......
Should have bought BF3.
