Lots of savings if you go check their page on steam - I just grabbed the last vault hunter DLC for R18. I am not getting all the dlcs

Hmm, I only like to buy DLC for a game when I've enjoyed it. Mafia II for example.

I can't blame you. I just did it because I'm organising everything. :) The DLC is however entirely optional for the MyGame.
 
Okay, I bought the GOTY edition of the game in the Steam special, and will have it downloaded tomorrow probably.

Now then...uh....what is this Borderlands thing all about?

Obvious overstatement should be obvious, but I really don't have a clue about BL. Never played a second of it. I know there is guns and robots and first person shooting and cell shading, but that's about it

Ah sounds like my youthful days in da club...

Also have to decide on a character. I want a barbarian type guy with a big ass hammer (or a big ass, that can work as well). I'm not the sneaky type. I want to run in and f@#$ shit up!!

Could play Salvador and fire 2 weapons at once, or Krieg and beat things up with a Buzz Axe.

Krieg is the one for you then. Closest thing to a barbarian you will find in BL2 (apart from Brick, but you can't play with him).

Incidentally, Krieg is also the best character in the game. :p

My wife is working this coming weekend, so I'm home alone with the little one and won't have much time to play, unfortunately.

It'll be more than just a weekend join us after. Although Time to Beat has main story at 31 hours, but I ain't planning no marathon that is for sure.

So are we posting about the game in this thread once we start?
And how should we handle anything spoiler related?

Hahaha, he is 18 months old now. The extent would be chew controller, throw controller on the ground, roll on/over controller, pick up controller and walk to the stairs and throw it outside, with the cat chasing after it.
