Correct. Anyone can use anyone weapon. Only thing that is locked for classes are the class mods, everything else is open to all.

So what are the rules going to be?

Do we have to roll new level 1 characters on 1 July, or can you start with an existing character, so long as you play through from the start?

Are there any specific challenges, quests, or DLCs we have to play, or do we just have to finish the main story?

The main story is all that has to be finished. You have to roll a new level 1 character .... however someone mentioned New Game Plus with an existing character? What do you people think about that?
 
I will be starting at Lvl 1, considering I have no playtime. Also I'm not sure if I have any DLC's or not, I'll check at home.
 
I don't really think it will make a big difference if someone rolls a new lvl 1 as opposed to starting the second playthrough with an existing character. If someone likes a specific character and wants to play new game plus with them, I say let them.

Either way, I will probably end up rolling a new character as well as play new game plus with an existing one. Plan to play new game co-op on PS4, but I know myself and once I start with BL it's gonna have me hooked and I will need to play more so I'll start new game plus (or +2 maybe) on one of my PC characters. Or I might play BL2 on PS4 and pre-sequel on the PC, we'll see. :p

Okay, I've got that one, I'm in. Although, it's typically referred to as the Tiny Tina DLC :p

Cool, sounds good. I haven't finished BL2 with any of my existing characters yet, so I won't be able to NG+, but I am not opposed to others doing that.
 
They do also still give out golden keys on Facebook and Twitter from time to time.

If you finish the game and choose the character you finished it with to play again it asks if you want to play True Vault Hunter Mode or Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. You can always fall back to a previous difficulty if it's too much of a challenge.

yeah I play games on hard but I am not a masochist. Stops being fun when you can't progress at a decent pace.


I think for those playing it a second time NG+ mode is a good option, also I believe there are some Easter eggs you can only get in NG+
