Neverwinter : Beta Impressions from Total Biscuit

The first real challenge is The lair of the mad dragon, it has a .... dragon in it and is a classic tough MMO fight. This is at level 30. Up until then my cleric very very rarely used potions for anything, I had 47 saved up, used them all up in that one boss fight +12 bigger ones, but the PUG I was in did it, quite the feeling, much like a first time raid boss in the old WoW days.

Pity we are on different servers ;-)
 
I'm really starting to enjoy my Wizard now. Mobility is a problem, seeing as I have to stand still to cast spells, but otherwise he's pretty powerful.

Hell no. The only thing I was willing to pay for is two character slots for $5.

Anyway, I've started a cleric now. I like him a bit more than the wizard.

I haven't spent a cent yet, haven't a had a need to as yet. Hit level 29 last night on my guardian fighter, still really enjoying the game so far. :)
 
I played a bit yesterday, I actually really like it. I love the sparkles that show you the objective because it.allows you to look at tour environment at the same time and not just look at the minimap.

I am using a human fighter dude
 
My launcher is having trouble with game launching lately - making updating and playing a bit of a serious problem for me.
 
Same here. It's pretty ace. I'm just having a lot of trouble playing the Cleric when I'm in groups. I never know whether people are using potions or if I'm actually doing the right thing. I also keep attracting all the aggro and almost dying because of it.

The cleric is the tank/healer in NW it seems. I do group content all the time and 90% of the bosses, I am running around with a cloud of mobs on my tail trying to live and drinking potions. It is rather frustrating that I use up about 25-30 potions a dungeon, while everyone else in the group uses 5 or so. It is something they need to look at seriously, I am getting rather tired of it.
 
Hehe, finally got back to playing this.

I must say, love the wizard, it's kicking arse. I rolled a rogue now just to see if it's any more interesting. As for Cleric, i was expecting it to be a not-so-fun class , especially when it comes to keeping yourself alive, hence i used the closed beta to decide not to roll one when the games go open/live.
 
Trying to find an active EU timezone guild is another major frustration, I can find guilds with a few EU people in it but no real EU guilds. I wish there was a server transfer option, there are a few active ones on Dragon I heard.
