Nvidia 3D Vision

i7 860, GTX480, 8GB DDR3, Acer 23.6" and nVidia glasses. Games tested so far is COD4, Trackmania Nations, Dragon Age, Titan Quest and Bad Company 2. Tried testing MW2 but couldn't connect to IWnet. Still want to try COD:WaW, Diablo 2, MW2, Dirt2, Obilivion, Witcher.
 
Haven't tried Diablo 2 yet lol, but Oblivion and MW2 works excellent with it. MW2 even better than COD4 in 3D, and the laser sight also works in this title.

Tried it and loved it. Unfortunately the 3D distracts me when games are frantic, and let's face it, all of the online games are. I ended up switching 3D off completely and I'm now waiting for my Dell 27" monitor which doesn't even do 3D. Like I've said before, 3D gaming works for me in some genres and completely NOT in others.

But for the short answer: SC2 in 3D is very cool - but I like the plain old 2D way of gaming more on this game. DotA on the other hand is simply AMAZING with 3D and because it's a bit slower than SC2...the 3D works better and is less distracting.

so what would be the best option?
I have a 32" FHD LCD for normal 2D gaming etc
 
I think for the price difference R2000 for 2" is a bit much? maybe go for the 22" @ R3800 and wait till next year
by then they will have a 32" 3D screens lol
 
I just wanna get an idea for something here.

If I told you all I would be selling my Acer 23.6" 3D LCD with my Nvidia glasses for R5000. Would there be any takers here?

p.s I have all the original packaging as well....so it's 2nd hand, but still practically brand new.

Think about it. The stuff is already in the Country, you don't have to wait a month for it and it's confirmed to be in 100% condition.

If you really want a 3D setup, chat to me.

To be very honest I love my 3D Setup, but I just bought a Dell U2711 27" monitor which is my new pride and joy even though it's not 3D. So I'm sitting with this epic 3D hardware in my house that I know is not going to be used to the extent that it deserves.

At the end of the day, I'm very happy to keep the hardware, but I'd much rather see it being used by someone every day. So I thought I'd made an opportunity available for someone here to get the stuff much easier and at a very good price without the trouble of importing it themselves.
 
I posted this in the FOR SALE section of the Prophecy forums as well. I don't think R5000 for everything is a bad deal at all. Considering what I paid for the monitor alone it's already a massive drop in price. Plus there's not waiting period or the fear of couriers breaking your stuff on the way.

So yeah. R5000 for a complete 3DVision setup. With the best monitor for the job as rated by PCFormat magazine.
