You can change the currency on Frontier's store to USD and then it is cheaper there. ALSO it is not region locked at Frontier. Unlike Steam. This new region lock has messed me around so much. I can't even gift games to international friends any more. So steam can suck it.

Unless Google is lying to me, Steam is still cheaper, and it doesn't mention region locking anywhere.

MUCH cheaper if you change it to Rubles :D

I tried last night. The game will only be available to play in SA. If you go overseas you will not be able to play said game. And you cannot gift it either, unless you only gift it to someone in SA. I really did try it, add the game to your cart and see the notification. I read through the FAQs and everything.

Last time I bought from Frontier's store they automatically changed the currency for me to dollaroos.

I have been trying to download the new beta for planetary landings. But it seems to be constantly failing. At least the 64bit version is. It seems like the 32bit version is working. However I really don't want to play on a bottlenecked version. SO, perhaps by tomorrow I will have it up and running, and will share some pictures here.

is there a 64bit version of E: D? I saw last night I'm running 32bit :(

64bit is coming with 2.0. As well as a host of new system requirements, to those of you who do not have a dx11 capable card: You are out of luck with Planetary landings. As well as the folks who might be playing on a MAC, as those machines do not support dx11 so planets are still rendered with the older Forge.

phew! then I barely make the cut :D

/checked

yeah I'll be fine. I'm somewhere in between the minimum and recommended spec

Same here, which is why I am so keen to run it. Though Nvidia Experience is still setting me at ultra graphical settings. Perhaps that is a good sign. The game is well optimized though, so I'm not too worried.

yeah the game test set my 560Ti to run it at High and I have basically no lag. I just changed the resolution cause it set it to some weird setting

Same thing happened with me. It set it to 1600 x 1200 or something along that line. That's not my screen resolution you PUNK.

I've seen some amazing footage like driving the SRV at full speed up a ridge and then flying over it only to see you just entered a massive crater and now you are free falling for what looks like kilometers deep. It's something I am very much looking forward to.

yeah it set mine to something like 2143x1256 :wtf:

So amped for Horizons! just a shame I can't afford it

If I am 100% honest with you, I would say do what some players are doing and buy the season a year later. So buy it at the end of 2016. Then you get all the features, without the bugs. And in theory a much smoother game play session.
I have the issue where my game will always get the latest patch / dlc or what ever they release, and I'll have to keep my hardware up to spec to actually enjoy all of the game play.

...might not be a bad idea. will just have to fight the temptation :p

Think that's what I'm playing at with DSR, think the GeForce Experience automatically optimizes it to that?
no I changed it to my desktop reso

haven't even had nvidia experience optimize it yet
