I have the crappest performance ever. I have to set everything to low, and the render quality to the lowest, and it still performs badly. Dammit this game looks so fun.

I don't get how some games run amazingly at high graphics and others look crap and perform shockingly.

I think it's probably my CPU though.

Sniping in PS2 is way too easy plus you get 1 cert point per kill so it's great for farming.

Yep,aim at someone and they will warp away when the start running.Most of the kills are people that are standing still or coming around corners while aiming.

Killing someone with the normal guns are also a pain,shoot at someone while they are running towards you and all of a sudden they will warp to your left or right and kill you instantly.

Do you have an AMD CPU ? That's your problem then as the game isn't well optimized for AMD CPU's at the moment. However, one of the devs said in a thread on their forums that they are far from done optimizing the game and will keep on doing so. So if you want to play now, either get yourself a new Intel CPU & mobo, or tough it out till the sort the optimization one day... or just play something else :)

I have an Intel CPU. Look it is a Core2Duo so it definitely is not the best, but I do run other games with far better GFX at top speeds. I will just have to wait a while hopefully they will sort it out.
 
Played New Conglomerate for the first time now and i am thinking of sticking with em.

Their weapons actually feel like they do damage,you can feel the power.

Just a pity you are on a completely different server than I am ... but alas, as long as you fight for the NC, it's all good :D
 
I found an FXAA injector for PS2 that increases your FPS from 10-20+ called SweetFX.

It takes some load of your CPU and it switches it to your GPU,PS2 seems to be very CPU heavy and although i have a i7 i have had some performance problems every now and again.

So far i could get a solid 60fps with over a hundred people on screen zerg rushing XD.

Wow really, think I need to try this out then. I hate it when the fps tanks in large battles.

Think I might join you there. I like the VS, but it just doesn't feel like I'm making any impact...

You really should try them,their heavy class carries more rockets then VS,their LMG carries 100 rounds and it's more accurate then the VS one and it kills faster.

Maybe it's just me but VS feel a little underpowered after i played NC for a bit.

SAPS NC: South African PlanetSide New Conglomerate.

So far there is 5 of us only my friends but still looking for you SA guys.

yeah I got the same feeling. I shot one guy 3 times with the sniper rifle and he still didn't die :wtf:
