Point is everyone business wise has to be innovative to stay ahead of the times to make money. In Nvidia's case they got what seems to be most of the brains to outsmart AMD (same can be said for Intel and AMD) but Amd's clever enough to see oppurtunity and fill the market gap at some point where Nvidia doesn't...
Same as Ferrari (Nvidia) sells 10 units and make massive profits cos of their technology and Toyota (AMD) sell 1000 units and also makes profits cos of mass production helping with continuation of the said mass produced items and good after service.
It's all a matter of what you can afford really
I for one would love the bragging rights of owning a Titan Black, maybe even two (cos that's all it will ever come down to) just as any of you out there but because we cant afford it we go with the mass produced an item that we know works well so why bother with top of the range...?
This is not innovation its shameless profiteering. The Titan black is an over priced copy of a 780Ti and that's it, nothing amazing about that. As for comparing Nvidia o Ferrari...Not a good idea bud, because then right now Ferrari aka Nvidia are not selling well, AMD stock can't stay on the shelves, they literally have stock shortages all over the world, The R series cards have been a huge success, Right now Nvidia aren't even in the same league.
Yes the 780Ti is an amazing card, would I buy one again...Hell yes!!
Titan Black is not gonna be amazing...Its gonna cost a fortune for no reason and honestly I wouldn't want to brag that I own a couple of Titan Black cards, because I know people will realize what a gigantic cock I am for buying them. What your pretty much saying is, its ok nvidia rip me off...I just want to brag.
I can afford any card I want, I own and have owned pretty much all the high end cards inc a Titan (Utter waste of money) The 780 was slightly faster than the Titan, it could overclock better, there were non reference cards available for the 780 ect.
I can go on and on and on, but I won't. At the end of the day its your money and you can do with it what you want, all I am saying is if you buy a Titan Black, you have more money than sense.
The only time I could see a sane person buying a Titan black is if they need a workstation card that can do gaming as well.
