You need steam to activate it and update it on first use. Thereafter you can run steam in offline mode, no connection required.
Just press J (or map it to another keu), goes directly to the quests.
My only problem with the U.I is now and then I click one option and it registers as the one above it or something similar.
Now that I think about it, I also get the UI bugs you guys are getting, clicking a certain option and it exits, selecting the option above or below it, or even worse, being unable to exit a dialogue for some reason.
Hope they fix it in a patch.
Also, now that I'm level 28, I'm getting kinda bored. There's not challenge left. It used to be that any encounter with an enemy could prove fatal, but now I just swish right through them.

Turn up the difficulty? I'm only level 17 and still find some enemies relatively challenging. The exit dialogue bug happens when you shift+tab to the steam overlay while in dialogue. I found that shift+tabbing in and out a few times allowed me to eventually exit.
The one higher difficulty is almost godlike, so it's a no-go.![]()
As first i thought the game would be slow when compared to something like The Witcher 2 (which i enjoyed thoroughly) but Skyrim is actually awesome!
I'm only at the beginning so it can only get better, my Dark Elf is like a barbarian when it comes to melee, certainly didn't expect that.
Just wish i had more carrying capacity, i'm a horder. I slow walked from Helgen to Riverwood coz i didnt want to throw away potential gold, lol
Is it just me or is it extremely easy to get into contact with both the Dark Brotherhood & Thieves Guild? In Oblivion you had to be in a certain graveyard at a specific hour, Dark Brotherhood you had to murder someone (anyone) stealthily or something.
You're right. I did a quest that sounded like it could lead me to the Dark Brotherhood and it did. The thieves guild one just kind of fell into my lap. I was hoping the requirements would be similar to that of Oblivion. Oh well...
