Skyrim Thread

Ooh I got to play another 2 minutes of it.
I wonder when Assassins Creed will feature dragons in the opening bit :).
Witcher 2, Dragon Age 2, Skyrim, I am pretty sure there are more out there.

Just press J (or map it to another keu), goes directly to the quests.

My only problem with the U.I is now and then I click one option and it registers as the one above it or something similar.

I'm getting that as well. One of the UI bugs that annoy me is when I'm bartering and when I click on a category it exits the bartering system completely. That has happened alot.

Another bug I found was when enchanting items and where you can rename them. If you start the renaming process and click somewhere to move the text cursor, it messes up and you can't enter anything. It looks like I clicked on the soulgem. At that point I can't enter anything, or move the text cursor. Only thing I can do is delete the current name. The workaround I found is to use the arrow keys to move the text cursor when renaming.

Now that I think about it, I also get the UI bugs you guys are getting, clicking a certain option and it exits, selecting the option above or below it, or even worse, being unable to exit a dialogue for some reason.

Hope they fix it in a patch.

Also, now that I'm level 28, I'm getting kinda bored. There's not challenge left. It used to be that any encounter with an enemy could prove fatal, but now I just swish right through them.

Is there static levelling??

And omfg, frost trolls irritate the crap outta me! Can't kill them yet so have to run as fast as possible whenever I see one

Turn up the difficulty? I'm only level 17 and still find some enemies relatively challenging. The exit dialogue bug happens when you shift+tab to the steam overlay while in dialogue. I found that shift+tabbing in and out a few times allowed me to eventually exit.

What difficulty are u playing on?,i'm playing on Expert at the moment and every enemy is a challenge. Also when i was playing once i saw 2 frost trolls kill a dragon.(fire dragon).

My dude is kinda weak at the moment due to him being a jack of all trades.

Same here, level 17 and still manage to get my ass handed to me is I dont pay attention.

The one higher difficulty is almost godlike, so it's a no-go. :P

As first i thought the game would be slow when compared to something like The Witcher 2 (which i enjoyed thoroughly) but Skyrim is actually awesome!
I'm only at the beginning so it can only get better, my Dark Elf is like a barbarian when it comes to melee, certainly didn't expect that.

Just wish i had more carrying capacity, i'm a horder. I slow walked from Helgen to Riverwood coz i didnt want to throw away potential gold, lol

I either dump it in an empty chest and make a quick fast travel trip home and back or i load my poor Lydia to the brim.

Is it just me or is it extremely easy to get into contact with both the Dark Brotherhood & Thieves Guild? In Oblivion you had to be in a certain graveyard at a specific hour, Dark Brotherhood you had to murder someone (anyone) stealthily or something.

You're right. I did a quest that sounded like it could lead me to the Dark Brotherhood and it did. The thieves guild one just kind of fell into my lap. I was hoping the requirements would be similar to that of Oblivion. Oh well...

Maybe too many people couldn't find it in Oblivion & so they decided to make it a bit more straight forward...

I still maintain Dark Souls/Skyrim Hybrid would be EPIC!

Cool pic xD

Elpie, Thats just teh j00 in you :D

Haha, timmeh!
The j00 in me shows its head every so often.

Then i get to Riverwood and empty the trader and blacksmiths gold, now i have no one to sell my items too :/
I'm using my companion as a luggage trolly. Do they ever go away if you don't tell them to? What happens if they die?

If they die, they are dead, first point xD

Secondly you can retrieve all your stuff from their bodies. Mine died yesterday in a dungeon, my fault apparently. She ran into my shouts while taking damage from Draugr. So I got kicked out of the mage guild.

But you can get your stuff back, bodies don't go away, they stay there forever.

On a totally unrelated topic.

I hate the favourites system in Skyrim. It sucks ass!

I suggested to some modders to make a better system and hopefully we'll see something like that soon.
here's a mockup of what I want for the Favourites system.
