Hmmm, any tips from the more experienced balies (

) on how to properly place a company?
I'll try give a brief outline of starting a company but theres quite a lot into it and all specific to the location, industry where you start.
You first need to decide whether you want to start a RM (Raw Material) company or a FG (Finished Goods) company. A finished goods company will supply weapons, food, gifts and moving tickets and you will have to purchase RM's to create these goods.
The type of industry you go into might be profitable all year round such as a food and gifts company whilst it may also be subject to worldwide trends, weapons, iron during wars. These companies are still profitable without war it's just there's a lot less demand for these goods.
When you want to start a company, always create a organisation first and create the company from your organisation. If you create it from your citizen account, you will lose extra wellness every day and won't be able to work at a company.
When deciding where to play your company, you will want to do some research into potential countries. Have a look at market taxes, export taxes, market competition and the average cost of wages as these will severely affect your ability to get the company off the ground and turn a profit. If you're starting a RM company, always start your company in a high productivity region as there's a significant difference in medium to high regions. You should also save enough capital to start your RM company off and upgrade immediately to Q2 as Q1 has very low profit margins and isn't sustainable in the long-run. It's also important to see if the region you're thinking of starting in has multiple high productivity resources. eg: a region which has both high iron and grain will be highly competitive since there will be a limited supply of land workers and a great demand for land workers (especially iron in time of war). You'll find that the iron companies will post incredibly high job offers and the grain companies just cannot compete and offer such high wages - therefore running out of business.
An issue I can't stress enough is, do not start a company as soon as you reach 20 gold as it really costs a lot more to run a company.
- create an organisation (5 gold)
- create a company (20 gold)
- upgrade Q1 to Q2 if RM company (20 gold)
- initial wages (2 - 3 gold)
- initial RM purchases if running a FG company (2 - 3 gold)
As you can see, the real cost is about 30 gold if starting a FG company and 48 gold if starting a RM company.
