The official Witcher 3 thread

How bad is the performance on the AMD cards? I have a Vapor-x 7970 and heard that AMD cards really don't perform well... I so want this game, but I don't want this game if its basically The Witcher 3: Nvidia addition...
 
For those that want to get the prev version of witcher they are on special atm from GOG for about 5 dollars for both.

I got TW2 on a previous sale (having forgotten about its 3rd installment hitting shelves soon). Still going to play it again though - at... some... point...

Hey guys.

Just wondering. How is the Witcher 3 for you, and how are your rigs holding up?

I recently built a budget gaming pc. I'm sill waiting for my download to finish before I start playing it (Kudos to Nvidia for the free copy).
 
I don't know if there is a thread for this, but how are your rigs holding out with the game?

I recently finished my first entry-level gaming PC. Was wondering if the game has decent optimization.

Maybe post the specs of your rig and some of the members will be able to give you a better idea of how well the game will run on your system?

CPU: Intel i5 4590 3.3ghz
RAM: 8GB 1866Mhz
GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 960 2G
HDD: Western Digital 1TB
PSU: Antec 550W

I think it was always in General Gaming thread, it merged the wrong way with the other newbies thread.

I say move it. I think when I created the thread there was no talk of release platforms yet and as such I put it under PC gaming since it was always going to be on PC.

This'd be the second time that my game has frozen switching from the controller (almost typed "gamepad" instead) in the menu.
Perhaps I should just stick to the KB+Mouse for the duration of my gameplay... :/
 
So i decided to take a step back from the story and to just focus on getting undiscovered locations and signposts by traveling the roads and i just stumbled upon the full ursine witcher set. Winning.

Now to start the terrible journey of collecting ingredients to make it.
