The official Witcher 3 thread

Well I started playing over the weekend. The game takes a little to get into, but im slowly getting there.

The gfx are really mind blowing and my machine is holding its own thankfully!

Silly question, but I'm battling to place the character Dijkstra. Was he in The Witcher 2? So far I've recognized most/all the other previous characters I've met, but some reason I can't place him and the dialog leads me to believe he was in a previous title.

You and me both. Guess I missed... him... in... TW2.

No, he wasn't in the previous games but he is in the books.

Stupid question, but where the he'll do you change their appearance?
If you're referring to the alternate outfit dlc's it's done via the main menu screen before loading your game. Once installed though it automatically switches to the alternate looks so you'll have to quit to the main menu and change it back if you want to.

Cool, I'll have a look tomorrow.

... oh, and fuck this game!

Aha, makes sense now. So you are still enjoying it?

Oh fuckyeah! That's an understatement. Going around 80 hours in now according to in game stats. Just unsure how far I am in the main story. But it's so overwhelming, you look at the word map and all you see is question marks, monster nests, notice boards, quests, etc.

The game is immense and definitely my Game of The Year thus far!

Yep, my experience so far as well, but I'm only a few hours into the game, I don't see myself finishing it before the end of the year!

I am trying to get all the gwent cards how do you know which ones you are missing? My playtime seems to be bugged it says 40 hours but I know I have played way more than that also are you guys finding the game a tad easy.

Does the GOG client / Steam say you've only done 40 hours? You should be able to view your total playtime in game too somewhere in the character stats section, i think.

My playtime is bugged too. Was just over 60 hours when it seemed to reset itself to 0 and has been building up again since then. Not a big issue but it is a bit annoying.

Anyone playing on PS4 downloaded Triss's alternate look? Can't seem to find it on the store even though Google has told me it's released for PS4...
