As the old saying goes 'if you try and please everyone all the time, you will probably end up pleasing no one at all'. At least they are true to what they set out to create, invest some time in the game and you will reap the rewards.
Still feel the need to whine about the terribly simplified inventory/journal/codex/etc at every opportunity but that's my only complaint.
I guess if you make it more complex you then it would probably be lost on many players?
Well, yes. I love the Gothic direction, I loved the difficulty and how rewarding the entire experience was. I feel a very strong connection to The Witcher there and while it is a bit of a niche, it's a very successful and I feel a very sought after one.I hear you.......while the theme/tone/story of the game may be sophisticated your average player is not. I guess if you head of in the Gothic direction, then it almost becomes niche.
BTW - how many 18 year old gamers would you classify as sophisticated![]()
So they don't want it to play like an interactive movie? Is it just my mind or was that a not so subtle dig at one Fable 3?
Absolutely love this game. Difficulty is spot on. Even back in Witcher 1 playing on hard required constant use of alchemy and items. People have been saturated for too long with easy games. You want easy, play on easy. Props CD Projekt! Keep on doing what you doing according to your ideals!
