Woo! Load shedding, woo!

Just realized my areas' schedule moves into the 6:00pm-10:30pm this week, and that we've got a lot of dark and cold to look forward to this weekend.

I still don't understand why Joburg gets smacked with 4 hours of load shedding at a time when everyone else only has to suffer through 2 hours at a time? I'd be decidedly less grumpy after only 2 hours than I am after 4. I'd still be grumpy, just a bit less so.

Can only assume that usage is a lot more demanding in JHB than in CT.

we are back to our daily loadshedding again least it isn't 4 hours like yours not sure how you manage that.

You guys can get ready, there will be shedding again tonight most likely. Stage1 from 16:00 and perhaps Stage2 at 18:00 (predictions, not announced yet).

Its up to the muni to split it however they like. Eskom just tells tell to lose X MW. JHB decided 4 hours is easier as it results in less switch-overs than a 2 hour schedule. i.e. in theory you should be getting the same total hours just in bigger blocks than say PTA. In theory...

Lights off from 4 till now..:/ We have a genny but that doesn't power the geyser. Freezing cold morning ahead!

Stage 2 LS at 16:00. So we will get our fair share tonight. :/

Maybe they're doing all the loadshedding during the week so we can keep the lights (and heat!!) on over the weekend, *he said hopefully, wishfully, desperately*
