World of Warcraft - General Discussion

Yea I recently gave a friend a copy of my game after he bought it via BT Games, just to save him the hassle of patching. I just forgot to remove my interface folder and WTF. Was very funny when he phoned me after he got the game running and its chaos on the screen. But can confirm you still get the 30 days free.
 
Yeah, drug dealers know u gotta give the first hit as a freebie/cheapie and after that your 'clients' come running back to you ;)

Between the 10 day trial and 30 days free included with vanilla WoW u pretty much score, though u do spend the next 40 days of your life being WoW obsessed :p
 
So I gave the game a second chance and re-rolled as a Troll Hunter on a newbie server. Finding his style much more enjoyable than the holier than thou pally.

There is two patches, WoW-3.3.3.11723-to-3.3.5.12213-enGB-patch.exe and WoW-3.3.5.12213-to-3.3.5.12340-enGB-patch.exe. The first one is 20mb and the second is 12mb. I downloaded them this morning with the downloader.

You are quite right, I forgot to mention that. RealID is also live BTW. Can't wait to chat to other friends on different realms :D

Quick q: if i got the Cataclysm Expansion pack beta in my list of games on battle.net does that mean im in beta???? :confused:

As a beta test participant, you’ll have the chance to experience the new content and features of Cataclysm before the expansion is released. We’re looking to get your feedback on the overall gameplay experience, including quests, monsters, zones, dungeons, aesthetics, and more as we continue to implement new expansion content. We would also appreciate reports on any bugs you may encounter. These can be logged using the /bug command explained below.

Getting started:

1. Get the Installer: Log in to your Battle.net account. In your list of games, click the “Manage Game” button under the Cataclysm beta image to download the installer; you’ll also be able to copy a character to the beta-test realms through the same page. Please note that your Battle.net account should be flagged for beta access within roughly 24 hours upon receipt of this email.

2. Install the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm client: Once you’ve downloaded the installer, run it and follow the directions to install the client on your machine. You must have a retail copy of World of Warcraft patch 3.3.0 or newer installed on the computer on which you want to install the Cataclysm beta test client.

3. Run the Game and Log in to Battle.net: After the game installs, the launcher interface should automatically appear on your screen. Log in with your Battle.net account and you’ll be able to begin playing. You can launch the client at any time by clicking the desktop shortcut or by going to the Windows Start Menu.

Had my first experience in ICC 10 man normal mode with my guild last night and I must say, with the right group and good leaders, ICC is a really fun raid :) We downed Marrowgar, Lady Deathwhisper, Gunship battle, Deathbringer Saurfang, Festergut and Rotface. Gave Prof P one attempt and did quite well even tho we did wipe. Going to carry on tomorrow night. I managed to get my hands on the Abracadaver Staff, so I was quite pleased! :D
 
Aah that nice man, atm im stuck on pugging the damn raid cause my guild is still mostly gearing up, we need tanks, have enough healers and enough dps abouts, but just about every pug disbands after 4 bosses :(
 
ICC is indeed a very fun raid. It caters for hardcores and casuals alike.

My (South African-Alliance-Lightning's Blade) guild and I are knocking on the LK's door. We are getting into Phase II, but then it all goes pear-shaped :D

(i know everyone here is an alliance hater, but if you feel like a change, Chaos Reign always enjoys getting more SAfricans on board. The realm is very Horde dominated, but the few alliance guilds are progressing very well)
