So seeing as Titanfall never really launched in SA due to lack of server support, who here has played it, and how was the performance of the game? I mean picking it up for free means absolutely no loss for me if it ends up not working, but I'm just interested to hear if anyone else in SA has been playing it and how is the performance...

I got it with my xbox, but couldn't play it. I couldn't get past the loading screen. Just said looking for servers or something like that.

Works fine for me.Bought it in December 2014 when it was on special,Deluxe edition.
It's a lot of fun and getting into a game is quick.
BTW,I was playing using mobile data,so an ADSL line should run even better.

Okay awesome thanks for the feedback. I've been wanting to puck this up for a while but I was always a bit apprehensive of the lack of servers.
I think it's only the season pass that is free. Unfortunately the game still has a price tag.

Am i missing something here? This is like crazy cheap for an Xbox One game. Is the game that dead already or?
Destiny still sits at a solid R850 in there, i really thought i was looking at a misprint...

I think it was around R135 when I got it on special. It's still a good price, and it's a great multiplayer game. It's also still popular overseas, and since we play on international servers, you won't have any issues finding games.
Good to know, since i tried Destiny (the trial) and found it a somewhat repetitive and missing the multiplayer quick type of action i was looking for, it felt alot more like a type of FPS Diablo (coop/solo grinding for gear) were Titanfall seems more traditional arena/pvp/6vs6 type of battles with some differences (Mechs/parkour) from your typical COD. I'm luckily not trying to be some e-sport fps master, so 200-300pings should be ok for me, i play Smite like that.

I'm planning on getting myself another console, hence posting in the Xbone thread.
A few questions I have before I buy:
1. Does the Xbone use AA batteries for the controller, as on on the xbox360? Or does it have a an integrated battery pack.
2. Can I plug in an external HDD and download games to it when the internal drive gets full? Or can I simply upgrade the internal drive with a bigger one like I did a with my PS4.
3. What perks are there to Xbox LIVE compared to PSN? Monthly free games?
4. Any specials at the moment running? I missed out on the Takealot R5299 special last week

2. You can plug in an external USB3 HDD.
3. Yes there are free monthly games, plus extra discounts and the ability to play games online.
4. That Takealot special is by far the best one. It's now the second time they had it. So if you feel lucky you can wait for another good special to come along.
