...coming from someone with a Master Chief avatar. :D My PS4 hasn't had a second of playtime since I got it 2 months ago, but that might change when December comes around with Xmas and my birthday thrown into the mix.
 
PlayStation 4 without a doubt. Maybe this, because I'm a "PlayStation Fanbooi", and the fact that I own a PS3 also solidifies my statement as to why I'd rather own a console from a company with whom I've grown mostly accustomed to, over the years.

Only Xbox product I'm proud to own is the wireless controller I have.

The 'Xbox One' just isn't as enticing a buy as the 'PlayStation 4' - albeit both damn expensive.

I chose the Xbox One because of Forza. Played the crap out of 3 and 4. When I got an itch for a racing sim again at the end of last year, I bought GT6 for PS3. I just couldn't get into it. I put at least 40 hours into the game and it just didn't give me that sense of satisfaction that I got when playing Forza (I think it was the engine audios, which are terrible in GT6). So I imported the Xbox One in December with Forza and I'm still playing it.
 
I think the majority of guys that choose X-1 have actually already imported one... The late release date really has set them back...
 
Im keeping this poll open for the next month because of Xbox being released so late, lets see if it can catch up or not?:D

But in all honesty your the one person (probably on my gaming) that could give a definitive answer on the topic...

Put it this way, knowing what you know, if you had to choose one console now, what would it be... "whistling:

Ok yeah, I didn't really think about it that way and gave more of a neutral answer, tbh this thread seemed like one of those you tread carefully for fear of a flame.

I'll see if I can give a more detailed reply a little later, busy with deadlines at work. But like I say, each has their own strengths and weaknesses, and reasons for using them.

Yeah I would love to hear your thoughts on this, because right now I can't see any justification in getting either of them, aside from exclusives, which I don't really care about.

That (most powerful specs crap) has never won a console war afaik

The ps1 was the slowest console of its generation and it won

ps2 was the slowest (technically the dreamcast but thats up for debate) and it won

The ps3 was the most powerful (apparently on paper) and it didnt win (the wii was the slowest and it won)

see the pattern ;)
