Xbox 360 VS PS3

Exclusives, how many are coming this year ?

How does it have the "upper hand" in games....

And lastly NATAL, I wouldn't rave about untested technology yet, Wii and MOVE (proven tech) Natal from what I have seen is yet to prove it actually works ?

Here you go:

Mass Effect 2
Splinter Cell - Conviction
Alan Wake
Halo Reach
Crackdown 2
Fable 3

Just a few. I am not saying PS3 doesn't have its own exclusive titles. The games I mentioned are really big titles, PS3 also has some big titles coming out this year. This is a good year for XBOX gamers. Crackdown was a huge hit for MS, and 2 looks way better. Mass Effect is hands down 1 of the best games I have played in the last six months. Before that I would have said Batman AA was (not an exclusive - but really great game, which I finished in 1 weekend). Forza is a very close 3rd on my list at the moment.

As for Natal, watch E3 2010 in June this year. Microsoft has some big announcements planned for E3. I am certain Natal is gonna the biggest one.

No offence to you in any way. But don't take words so literally. Read what I said very carefully and respond constructively. If you took offence to what I said I apologise.

No I dont take offence this is only a chat forum.....

I had 2 xboxs and I miss them so dont get me wrong either, but this really has been the ps3 year so far without a doubt.

As for Natal / Move whenever these things come out they always over hyped ESPECIALLY at E3 of all places we'll have to wait and see what actually happens with both of them, Im just "siding" with the MOVE on this one as Natal is just a juiced up Eye toy in my honest opinion

Lets see for PS3 exclusives this year:

Heavy Rain
Last Guardian
MAG
Gran Turismo 5
God of War 3
DC Online
FFXIV (slated for this year supposedly)
Resistance 3 (supposedly)

This is excluding quite a few JRPGs which can also be highly popular. So, the PS3 line-up is not looking so bad.

But I am glad I get the best of both. I just want some more complex RPGs to come out considering how rare they are atm.

You know what this is gonna be my last post on this topic so read up . . .

For the last few yearz there has only been one CONSOLE which has " TRULY " held it down the gaming front.

! The XBOX 360 !

It IZ everything you need in a Nex-Gen Console:-
Great Gamez, wireless controlz X4 , Usb Featurez, HDD, HDMI, more great gamez ect. But most importantly it iz affordable to non larniez like myself and friendz.
So what if it doesn't have a "Blu-ray Playa". I buy consolez to play gamez not watch moviez.

Even though when it came out the gamez were almost the same price as PS3 versionz at least there was more optionz (Im sure Ps3 owners remember that) now it's a different story (your'll know what I mean I'm not gonna say it).

Let's face it if you ask a Ps3 owner how many games his finished he can probably tell you by counting on his hands.
If you ask me, my brain goes into overload due to amount of emotionz of completing all those 3? gamez (Yes in the thirthies, Im a good gamer !)
And the same goes for all my friendz !.

This means it boils down to whether you would rather F@#* a different Supermodel every few months (PS3)...
... or F@*# a different Model, maybe two every month (X360). You Chooze

It's a bit sad how all these years PS3 owners have been very quite.
But now that they have {Heavy Rain, God of War III, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 & LBP} they're making a noise as if they were always on top.
I admit these are excellent gamez, and I would love to play them. But to disrespect the X360 over them is an UBER gaming travesty.

So finally after years of waiting it's your turn shine, for now a PS3 is a must have item (For those of you who have that kind of money in these trying times)
It's fine though, enjoy the view from the top while you still can.:p

Just remember when there's a game drought in the "Playstation World" oh there'll be one, think of this moment and all the thingz you said about the X360 and the choice you made.
Evidently by then us "! X360 OWNERZ !" will still be to busy waist deep in games to hear your pathetic cries...
...as always.

Peace "B"

Yeah but the Xbox has Splinter Cell, Halo Reach and Alan Wake. Though Halo Reach is going to be the SHIT!

Also bought myself the PS3 with this special they had, don't have any games yet but one thing that immediately got me worried was the controller......... not liking that one bit. :(

Any decent third party controllers out there?

Seems nobody likes the PS3 controller. I feel exactly the same about mine and i know GrimSpoon feels the same. Would be epic if u could use the Xbox controller with the PS3.

Shame........

This is just a sad sad post.

I don't really see Splinter Cell or Mass Effect as X360 exclusives since both of them are coming out on PC as well. I don't care about Halo, played Halo 3 and found it very "plastic". The same goes for Fable 3, Fable was awesome, but Fable 2 was sooo lame, I don't even wanna imagine what no. 3 is gonna be like. The only X360 exclusives I want to play are Alan Wake and Metro 2033 (not really a exclusive, but my PC will never be able to handle it).

Also, I really happen to like the PS3 controller way more than the X360 one. And no, I'm not a fanboy, had an X360 and will be buying a slim if it comes out. It's just more comfortable for me and I don't like the X360 controller's triggers (although the PS3 L2 & R2 "buttons" aren't really the best either).

@Breezy: Saying a PS3 owner can count the games he has completed on his hands has got to be the lamest comment in this thread ever. Did you forget about the PS1 & PS2, the SNES, PC, Gamecube, SEGA Dreamcast, and all other consoles that people have owned before getting a PS3? If you mean games they have finished on PS3 only, your comment is still lame. I have probably finished close to 40 or 50 games on my PS3 alone.

Oh, about the blu-ray drive. It's not only for movies. It also means games can fit onto one disc, instead of 3 or 4 dvd's with scaled down fmv's ala FFXIII. That's probably one of the biggest reasons you won't see Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain or GoW III on X360, as far as I know all of those games are larger than 30GB. I'd rather pay extra for a console that uses discs with way more storage space and are very hard to scratch than one where I would have to disc-swop the whole time and have my discs scratched by the console itself. My X360 scratched at least 4 or 5 of my games when I still had it.

WLAD for president..........

The minute a ps3 owner says something "truthful" (but its bad) we get labelled as fanbois what they forget is that we (well most of us) had been xbox owners but we the ones who SAW the light :D

I always thought Kill Zone 2 was a bit boring and over rated. Yes the Graphics are pretty but the game play left much to be desired.

Then you havent experienced the awesomeness of its online MP with local guys :) That is where this game shines

Man some of you go on about the PS controller like it contorts your hands as soon as you tough it!? It is FAR from being as uncomfortable as you are making it out to be! Are you perhaps holding it upside down or something? *cough* The controller was fine for the PS2 generation, no one complained about how crap it was. Sure they needed to evolve it, but it is far from this horrible experience as some of you make it out to be.

Oh and Bree'Z', just your constant use of Z in that post makes it null and void in my mind at least. Never mind some of the other things you are claiming. I bet you don't even own a PS3.

And I am with Wlad on Halo. I really really tried to get into it. Force played through 1 and 2 in anticipation of 3. Got 3, played for a few hours, but the whole time I felt nothing. I think it is the multiplayer that people fall in love with? Sadly I am sick of FPS multiplayer games, so I am bias I guess.

I think it is good that both consoles, (well even the Wii), are doing so well. This gives variety and competition so they don't just rest on their laurels. This way we can all gain, ESPECIALLY us with more than one of them!

Hmmph , maybe I'm just used to it , But The PS1/PS2/PS3 Remote (seeing that they are all 90% the same) never hurt me -.-.

LOL!

Something I'm wondering myself.
I can't use the 360 controller in games other than FPS, those face buttons are way too plastic for me.

Yeah everybody loved the PS2 remote coz that before they tried the 360 one. :p

Halo is a love hate game but the million who love it can't be wrong, but it isn't everyones cup of tea. I love it.

I found Halo to be an OK-ish game. Story was good, it looked good but the gameplay was meh at best. Never really gave it much thought...... till I played it multiplayer....... So much better than single player honestly.

Also, I really happen to like the PS3 controller way more than the X360 one. And no, I'm not a fanboy, had an X360 and will be buying a slim if it comes out. And I really don't like the PS3 controller. People shouldn't take it personally. I never had a PS1 or PS2 so I never got used it. And in any case, I'll be getting the Logitech version when I can finally find a place that sells them.

Again it's everyone's personal opinion but to me, disc swapping doesn't seem like the spawn of Satan that everyone makes it out to be. I just don't understand how swapping discs every 4 or 5 hours will ruin the game for you?

Obviously it's nice not to, but is it honestly the end all of gaming?

I'd rather pay extra for a console

I'd like to put into perspective just how much extra is extra. When I bought my Xbox a little less than a year ago I got, for the price of a PS3 at the time, the Xbox Pro (60GB), two controllers, a play and charge kit and 5 games(2 new 3 second-hand).

IMHO I got the better offer. Now if I was deciding to buy recently (like my cousin last week) and saw the deal at Pick n Pay ( he was all like "What do you think?" and I was like "WTF you waiting for!!!! I already got mine connected up!!") the PS3 would have been the obvious choice. BTW, my cousin didn't buy the PS3 from Pick n Pay........ he went to Game and got one there for R2150....... cheap bastard. :(

that uses discs with way more storage space and are very hard to scratch than one where I would have to disc-swop the whole time and have my discs scratched by the console itself. My X360 scratched at least 4 or 5 of my games when I still had it.

Extra HDD space is a win on the PS3, and an even bigger win is the ability to change your HDD without any hassles. I've got a 250GB drive at home just waiting to be slotted in my PS3.

And as for disc scratching I was patient enough to wait out the problems plaguing the Xbox in the beginning. Got myself a Jasper with the better DVD-Rom.
