Xbox 360 VS PS3

I own both consoles and honestly guess what... They are both good at what they do, I put a game into the Xbox 360 wait a few seconds and wham I play it. I put a game into the PS3 wait a minute and what I am playing it. They both have their little niggles and problems but they are both good at what they do. There is honestly no reason to actually sit here and flame one console over another. Each person will like their choice of console so get over it stop trying to convert the other person to your cause as he is trying to do to you. If you cannot afford to have both consoles be happy you have one console and that it plays the awesome games it has, otherwise save up and extend your library of games and your experience.

I had both and loved both BUT my time did not allow for both consoles so I sacrificed the xbox

You really gonna compare GOWIII to Mass Effect 2? Two completely different games. If you had to compare Dantes Inferno to GOWIII then I would agree with you. They are similar games. I never play games like Halo, Mass Effect, COD etc. I am reliably useless at them, but recently I bought COD MW2 and I enjoyed it quite a bit and loved the reviews for ME2. All I can say is WOW. I haven't played a better game in the past 6 months. For me to actually get away from Forza 3, NFS Shift and Fifa 10 just to play this game speaks leaps and bounds for those that know me.

Oh and if you look at my sig, I actually got a copy of ME1 as well.
 
i own an xbox 360 biggest disadvantage is xbox live subscription (my year subscription just expired) - makes me want a ps3 instead

Well it looks like $ony like M$ might end up with yearly subscriptions as well from the recent rumours around.

There is talk that Sony want to make the PSN subscription based.. I used to have an xbox and honestly I don't mind paying a yearly fee for an excellent service. The PSN is good but can be full of BS at times.
 
I've got a 360, & I've quite enjoyed it. I'm predominantly a PC gamer though, so by far most of my gaming time has been spent on that.
My 360 is unfortunately currently hors de combat, so I might end up replacing it. If so I wouldn't mind having a good look at a PS3, especially now that the prices are coming down. There really isn't a whole lot to chose between the two platforms from where I stand, they both do what they do really well, and my biggest gripe with either is the cost of the titles, but the BT Games rental program sorts that out pretty well.

Speaking of buying a PS3 though, I understand there's a special on for the slimline for around R2.5k. Does anyone know where that is, & how much longer it'll be running for?
 
I think it was at Pick n Pay or something... but I think the special is over now though...
Get a PS3 dude and you wont regret it! :)

i own both XBOX and PS3 and both enjoy equal attention. both systems have pros and cons. both have great exclusives. both are awesome. i chose the xbox first because it came out first and was a LOT cheaper than the PS3. now that the PS3 is cheaper, i got one of those as well and have been enjoying them both. on top of that i enjoy my PC as well :)

i guess i must be a neutral gamer (the best kind!)
