Xbox 360 VS PS3

I am with Wlad on that.

Personally I do not put much stake in action titles. They are fun, but I will very, VERY seldom rave about any of them. Honestly I can't even recall the last I thought was even close.

Uncharted 2 is.... AMAZING. Not just from a graphical perspective, but the gameplay, the pacing, the voice acting... OMG it is truly a masterwork of a game even when compared to other 90+% games in the same / similar genre.

Well, I wouldn't exactly go so far as calling it button-mashing, but the melee combat does require you to press the square button a few times while using the triangle button to counter enemies, but you don't really use the melee combat all that much.
 
Its a 3rd person shooter primarily, so when it comes to combat you will be shooting more often than not. Like Wlad said there is the melee section, but it is far from mashing.

The game is far more than its parts. Those parts come together and make a true masterpiece. And like I said, I am not the average kind of person who just raves about anything. I am hellishly critical.
 
I'm very interested to see what a possible Xbox Slim will do for Xbox sales, as the PS3's sales largely picked up after the release of the Slim.

The race between the Xbox and PS3 is going to be close...that's for sure. I think the next generation of consoles is where particular consoles will shine above the competition. If you look at the previous generation of consoles, the Xbox was so very far behind the PS3, but now the Xbox and PS3 are on pretty much equal footing (at least compared to the last round).

With Microsoft more established in the console gaming department now, Nintendo having revived its image and the Playstation having to actually compete now, things could get fun for the consumer come a few years time.
 
Anything could happen. People / Sony thought that since PlayStation had such market saturation with the PS2 that the PS3 = WIN! And well like you said, the 360 has done AMAZINGLY! And let us not forget the Wii, which has also WTFPWND the market!

I think a 360 slim would boost the market, specifically if they can make it even better than their old ones. I would buy one that's for sure.

Yeah, we had some awesome times. We should give BF:BC 2 a break sometime and play a few UC matches again soon.
 
Just bought a PS3 , and I'm a bit dissapointed , I was under the Influence that only the Slim version was not backwards compatible , so i paid the extra few bucks and got the standard version just to get my bubble burst finding out that PS3 is not Backwards compatible :confused: I read something about Emulator Software , trying to get that going now.


Atleast I have a FF XIII Copy to keep me from Jumping off my house roof :p

The Not Backwards compatibility is a big hit for me , as I own quite a big PS2 Collection and My PS2 broke. It was the main reason i wanted to buy a PS3
 
Ouch!

That's why I like to do my homework on something before I buy it-especially if it is something that expensive.
 
Well , I actually did do some research , and according to various sources the 20/40/60/80 gig versions had backwards compatibility , thats why I spent 2 weeks searching for one of those models.


Btw , How big are these Firmware updates -.- Its taking quite a while

EDIT: Theres Light at the end of the tunnel! after some updates some of my games are working. I have yet to do the lastest updates , but I'm in a better mood atleast , 2/3 of my Final Fantasy Collection works thus far ^^

Love that last post. I honestly believe they are both great consoles. XBOX does the upper hand at the moment with regards to exclusive and games. This year is gonna be a huge year for XBOX gamers. I cant wait for Natal, it looks so amazing. But will wait for some guinea pigs to test it before I buy it.

Exclusives, how many are coming this year ?

How does it have the "upper hand" in games....

And lastly NATAL, I wouldn't rave about untested technology yet, Wii and MOVE (proven tech) Natal from what I have seen is yet to prove it actually works ?
