Check out the updated Windows 10 Start Menu

Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 Insider Preview build for PC and Mobile.

“We’re churning out builds like crazy,” said Microsoft.

Among the changes Microsoft is introducing, which form part of the upcoming Anniversary Update, is a new look for the Start Menu.

With Microsoft pushing to release the Anniversary Update on 2 August 2016, the latest preview provides insight into what the Start Menu will look like after the update.

Windows Central compared the old Start Menu to the new version, as shown below.

“Chaseable” live tiles

Microsoft has also introduced a new feature it calls Chaseable live tiles.

Live tiles display information from an application, such as temperatures from a weather app or headlines from a news app.

Clicking the tile normally opens the application, rather than take you to the information selected.

Chaseable live tiles will let developers open their app at a specific place, depending on what was being displayed in the live tile before it was clicked.
