South African game developer Free Lives Games has moved to Mauritius for three months, along with a number of other developers.

The Broforce development team has been documenting their experience in a series called Game Jam Island.

While the trip may seem like a holiday, the game developers are still hard at work on upcoming projects while relaxing in the sun.

The Game Jam Island series grants an often hilarious insight into the developers’ daily activities, such as late-night swims and social events.

Free Lives programmer Richard Pieterse joked that the team was in Mauritius “because we’re not good at making life choices.”

Free Lives artist Filip Orekhov gave another tongue-in-cheek explanation for the trip.

“Broforce made, like, a crap ton of money,” he teased. “And we’re trying to find ways to spend it.”
