2012 is moving incredibly fast, and though the busy season of gaming is ahead of us in the third and fourth quarter, there are a lot of great games released in 2012 hat may be suffering from neglect.
It’s hard to keep up with all the comings-and-goings of the video game world, but MyGaming will help with some of those games you may have already missed this year.
Binary Domain
Take the lead designer of the Yakuza franchise, mix with Westernised third-person style action, and you get Binary Domain.
Despite the lack of attention, Binary Domain is a very interesting and fun shooter with great pacing that always presents something new and exciting in front of you. There is a voice-recognition and AI buddy system (both don’t work very well), and if you manage to look past the silly lines and over-the-top characters, there’s a lot to be enjoyed with Binary Domain’s robot dismembering action.

FIFA Street
The FIFA Street series has had an interesting existence since its first release in 2005. The game focuses on trickery, flair, and style, and was well-received by critics and gamers alike. While never becoming a strong force, it has a decent following.
The FIFA Street reboot dropped in March, borrowed FIFA 12’s engine, and introduced a new ball-control mechanic which made dribbling your friends that much better. If you managed to miss the ball with FIFA Street, go back and check it out.
Ridge Racer: Unbounded
Mixing it up from the traditional enclosed arcade style of previous Ridge Racer games, Unbounded attempts to break the mould of the franchise by adding in a track editor and emphasising crashing and taking out opponents within the gameplay.
The game was pretty well received, but not pretty well-played. It slipped under the radar, and it’s a shame, because it’s a series spin-off that’s refreshing and dying for attention.

Dragon’s Dogma
Dragon’s Dogma has crawled out of nowhere, but ended up being a surprisingly deep and rewarding title this year. The massive open-world game puts an action-packed spin on the traditional role-playing formula, by combining hack-and-slash elements with traditional tactical facets.
Dragon’s Dogma is one of those games that initially looked like it would slip under the radar, but the game’s positive reception has proven that the Hiroyuki Kobayashi-produced RPG deserves some serious attention.

The Walking Dead: Episode 1
While Episode 2 just released, The Walking Dead: Episode 1 is an impressive adaptation of the comic book-turned TV show, and shouldn’t be ignored.
The video game spin-off from the popular comic book and TV series features a brand new character named Lee Everett, a convicted murderer with a chance of redemption in the aftermath of the zombie outbreak. Telltale Games deliver a classic Walking Dead experience by throwing players into a game which truly feels like survival is the only option. Dramatic moments and life-or-death choices are standard fare with the cel-shaded adventure.
